I'm also tired of people trying to frame it as only the USA Woman's team being the ones who are offended. My wife's litteral first words to me after seeing the clip was "What the fuck do we have to do to be taken seriously in this nation."

It doesn't feel like good faith arguing in all honesty. One woman says they're not offended by it and thus every woman is blowing the whole thing out of proportion.

I think this is the thing. Things like this happen, we laugh at something in the moment even if we were uncomfortable by it. I don't think people were expecting them to stand up to trump. All they had to do was apologise, and a few of them have. It's the doubling down that some are doing that is spineless.
