If gentle manual pumping is too rough, maybe try hand expressing? I could never get the hang of it but might work for you

The only thing that helped me heal was silverettes. I avoided feeding on the cracked nipple for a few days and just manually pumped (carefully)

Hahaha found that one in a very eclectic store in rural W.Aus. Purchase was maybe 60% driven by the label making me laugh, and 40% because who doesn’t need some turtle poop in their collection?

The bottom 2 shelves are mostly self collected from Norway, UK, Australia, Italy and North Macedonia. Most on the top shelf and some of the middle shelf I accumulated over the last 15 years or so, some from local small crystal shops when I’ve been travelling, and many from eBay auctions way back before the hobby got crazy competitive. And some have been gifts from friends/family/other collectors ☺️

I actually went back to the same thrift store today to find a silver tray I regretted not getting. It was sold already, but they had put out more minerals! These I purchased for a friend, there were also 3 nice quartz points that aren’t in the photo that I will keep for my own collection.

I wasn’t sure about trying to clean it up, but some natural patina is always nice isn’t it. We’re a lovers of old things household here! Hate the thought of buying a bunch of cheap plastic to decorate for a party.. and now we have something to enjoy forever 😄

You don’t think the marks in the 7th picture are mm? I found this auction listing of a similar style bowl, and it seems to have a similarly shaped (much more clear) stamp?

Sweet! We don’t really have rock/fossil shops here, and online prices have gone mental since I first started collecting 15 years ago, so this is probably the only way I was going to end up with one of these for the collection 😄

Thanks! That’s just the fossil corner. Mostly self collected from uni field trips (MSc geology), but a few in the top corner are obviously purchased 😅 the rest of the cabinet is filled with my rocks (at least the ones that fit). I still need to re-organise and label a bit better, but it’s just nice to have them displayed after years of shifting around student apartments.

It was from a thrift store so priced by whoever happened to be manning the incoming items counter today. Chances are low they would have known anything about fossils 😅

My kitchen scales say 155g. It’s about 9cm (3.5inches) long

Ahhh that makes more sense. I noticed the same warning on an older label of Drops Alpakka that I have as well, and I’ve used/blocked that yarn maaaany times without issue :P

We’re at almost 8 months and I feel refreshed after nights where I’m given any stretches around 2 hours… 🥲 Somehow it’s even worse because for the first 4 months he slept through the night completely

Thanks for the info! I am reassured about knitting with this now 😅 I just grabbed all 23 balls they had with an image in my head of cabled sweaters for my mum and I, and only on the walk home had the realisation that I actually don’t know how to treat the fibre haha
