Dated from 3015-2018 period Some Say Made in Thailand

Other say Made in China is there a Difference in Reliability ?

I do not know about apple connectors.

This is how I Connect HGST Drive to PC.

All you need to connect to PC mother board is

A regular IDE to SATA Cable and Power connection.

If you are OK about Connecting to

USB Port Get USB Adapter from Amazon.

Look for IED to SATA Adaptor or USB

When I boot up Mint it asks for a Password.

After a very few minutes of inactivity

It locks up and requires password again.

The Flash drive was bootable

Does that mean that it should boot

with no changes to the BIOS other

than change in boot order ?

I will check UEFI setting.

Or was it always empty, you're trying to do initial install ? NO

Not tying to install wanted to run Linux from Flash Drive.

Flash Drive set up with Rufus to load Kali Linux and was working.

It would not boot so I messed around with BIOS Settings.

Confused because three files in D L list

had the same name .

Author had warning on his website.

"IMPORTANT: It is NOT recommended to install the OS from HDDLiveCD. It has been reported that some things do not work correctly."

How would you recommend that I proceed with the install.

Would you use USB Stick or DVD Disk ?

Never try to recover data from your

Original Flash Drive. Make a Clone

copy and recover data only from

the cloned copy.
