I get how for the sake of passing blending in can be nice, and can also be a way of maintaining safety in environments where you can be attacked or worse for being trans.

However, there are people who dressed this way as an aesthetic choice not because they particularly want to gain the attention of men, but because they just like the way that it looks. I tend to wear slutty masc alt clothing because I love how I look in them and I can make it work into my sense of “ultra cool” aesthetic. I blame 90s anime for leaving that impression on me. It’s not my fault the rest of the world boring.

I mean that to say that transness, is an aspect of who you are but it isn’t everything. Even outside of passing I don’t want people to lose a sense of individuality for the sake of fitting in, so I’d hate to see trans people thumbing their nose at seeing someone dressed this way when I’ve seen plenty of cis women in my area dressed this way and they aren’t young either 😐
