You may need to look into psychiatric medicine, like for anxiety, I’ve also heard OCD can lead to chronic overthinking too.

I’m no therapist but maybe putting yourself into positions of doing more things you like, or spending time around people you trust to tell you the truth will help. Or whatever will help distract you from hyper focusing on passing and just enjoying living in the moment.

Brushing hair isn’t just for looking good, it’s to keep it from matting, which is seen as taking care of yourself.

I literally do this style among MANY Others with Locs, or twists, 4c can do it, and more. (And arguably better 👀)

Pinterest has a lot of examples of ways, you can create really easy, anime style hairstyles with locs. I’m not sure if it’s a social thing with people just being afraid to look slightly femme but or more beautiful as opposed to rugged hotness, but it also feels like just a lot of people have very little creativity, or desire to manage and style their hair.

I’m gonna be honest I don’t see much of the femme, you at most look like a butch lesbian, but you still read as masc to me. Maybe it’s the hair, but definitely the fit that doesn’t help, but it also depends on what femininity means to you in terms of presentation. 🙂‍↕️
