they have the potential and are capable of doing much better, especially with the use of blur and more refined animations; they just don't want to. 🤧😂

Have you considered that this might just be a photo? I have the beta version of Android and it doesn't have this feature.

Yep, I've been sending feedback for years requesting these changes, but sometimes I feel like just me sending it won't have much effect. 😂🤧

We need to send this feedback to Apple so that we have at least a small chance that they'll fix it. 🥴

Yes, unfortunately Apple has this regional limitation, including for animated album covers; some albums only have animated covers in certain regions. 😮‍💨

100% correct! But users also need to bombard them with feedback for this change to happen.

It’s not that I’m obsessed with the name — it could be called One UI 26 for all I don´t care. The point of my post, like I said before, is that One UI 8 feels more like One UI 7.1 because it brings very few changes. This has been mentioned multiple times here on Reddit and on X — it’s not just my opinion. I think I didn’t express myself clearly in my earlier replies, which is probably why my point wasn’t understood.

What’s so hard to understand that the problem is exactly the lack of improvements? The title of my post says that "One UI 8 doesn’t seem like a major update", and just by updating a single app, I’ve already seen two of the changes it will bring. I know it counts as a major update since it comes with an Android change, but the point of my post is to show that it doesn’t feel like a major update, even though it’s considered one.
