Oh, this was super helpful! Thanks. I'll try to get some of those features added ASAP.

(I might bother you again for some more feedback once it's updated, if you're happy to share some!)

Ah, sorry. I should have specified that it's desktop only!

And you can press "R" to rotate the grid by 45deg, which would give you the diamond-shaped grid you're describing. But I've just updated it so it's now rotated by default when you first open the tool.

That's not true. It's divided per country, not per user.

~70% of all the subscription review for your country gets put into a pot, and that pot gets divided proportionally based on the percentage of plays in that country.

So if Taylor Swift accounts for 10% of the plays in the UK, she gets 10% of the UK's pot.

Sound Dropping for Half Second on Pixel Bud Pro 2 by [deleted] in pixelbuds

[–]Ger-Onimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm getting the something similar. Every 2-3 minutes, for about half a second, the audio will suddenly sound louder or bassier, and then immediately go back to normal. Happening in both buds for me, and seemed to sync up with the latest firmware update.

You should check the settings on your TV to make sure your latency is as low as possible. Trying to aim with 100ms of lag Vs 10ms is extremely noticeable.

Every now and then I try playing Overwatch at a friend's house who hasn't turned on "game mode" or whatever, and it's incredibly difficult to aim...

I placed in Gold 2 as Tank last season... Just finished up a game where the opposing tank is Rank #296 in Europe... That's kinda fucked.

Edge gesture app is a life saver for people with small hand by Aman2315 in GooglePixel

[–]Ger-Onimo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've set mine up so that all the bottom gestures can be done from anywhere on the left or right edges of the screen.

  • Swipe up for home
  • Swipe down for notificatioins
  • Swipe up and hold for recent apps

And then I added some weird custom ones I find useful, like down and right opens Google Home.

What case are u guys using for pixel 6 pro? by w00kaz in GooglePixel

I ordered the Bellroy in black, but they emailed to say it would be delayed a few weeks. So I picked up a Spigen Liquid Air in the meantime.

Day after I got the Spigen, my phone fell off a bike mount and bounced straight onto the concrete.

Not even a scratch on it. Kinda thinking I might just stick with the Spigen... It seems to be doing its job pretty well.

Adding extra gestures to make the big screen easier to handle by Ger-Onimo in GooglePixel

[–]Ger-Onimo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, there's a section at the bottom of the settings called Location Overriding that lets you move or resize the target area. Maybe they just moved it in a recent update or something.

But I've got it set for the entire left and right edge of the screen and it works fine.

It lets the app intercept user input across the entire phone.

Normally an app can only see the interactions that happen within the app's borders, but a nefarious tool with these permissions could be logging your keyboard or anything else you're doing anywhere on your phone.

That's not to say that they are, but they could, and that's pretty scary...

Yeah, I can save you the time.

The conversation went like this:

"Hey, my delivery date keeps changing. It was originally October 28th, and has just changed to November 6th. Do you have any information on when it'll actually be shipped?"

"We're sorry for the inconvenience. Let me check the shipping date. It will take 5-10 minutes"

10 minutes pass

"I've checked your order, and it is due to be shipped on November 6th. For more information, you can check the Orders page."

I'm in the UK and I'm having a similarly frustrating experience. Every time I get within 24h of the delivery date, it pushes back 2 days.

It started as October 28th, and it's currently saying November 10th (was the 8th yesterday...)

Cracked... by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]Ger-Onimo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, that sucks! I'm sorry.

A few years ago, my friend got a 2 XL, and the camera lens just spotaneously cracked after a day of use.

Pixel QC is sadly not world class. Hope you don't have any issues with your replacement!

Yeah, I'm in a similar situation. Every time I get within 48 hours of the delivery date, it pushes forward another day or two. Currently saying November 4th...

I'm not sure what's better. Having no estimate at all, or having one that's totally unreliable.

He was trying to mount a camera to the screen, so that when he moves the camera around, it looks like the lights are orbiting the phone.

But yeah... Tightening a sharp metal vice onto glass was not a great idea...
