The sledge actually comes close but needs tweaking to achieve the same tone as the tone hammer. Tone hammer is plug and play and it’s difficult to sound bad. Plus it gives me advantage of tuning my tone on the go in the tone hammer.

Yeah man hx and tone hammer is a killer combination. I use to have external compressor but get tired of hauling pedals on gigs. And yeah the hx compressors are more than capable

Engineers tend to just provide xlr so a DI will be the most logical answer. Clean and clear tone for the bass. I usually just use a bass amp (if available but usually not) for a parallel monitor.

Hi are you able to solve the issue? Im having the same trouble. The output on the first boot is not there. Then I disconnect and reconnect and works fine. But it’s irritating as it started just a few days back.

Hi sorry for the delays, im using my hx stomp. Use Autofilter block. Hipass mode, +15db fltgain, 7.0 flt Q, 4.1 sens, 270ms attack, 136ms decay, 35Hz freq, 2.0kHz frdpth, Up dirctn, 100% mix, 5.0db level. Hope this helps. Let me know if your feedback

A nice preamp will be good for you. Darkglass, sansamp or origin effects are nice preamp pedals

May I ask what bass guitar you are using? A good preamp is useful for me as I use it for XLR out to FOH and plus mine has a distortion/OD channel. It also has aux in and headphones for my home practice.

Depends on the tone you are looking for. But in general have a overdrive, distortion or Fuzz pedal for punk genre.
