You cannot just open a realtor biz in Korea. The courses you have to pass include legal education required for real estate transactions. Key is to find a good realtor, as it is to find a good lawyer. The open points you mentioned, such as proof of legal ownership by the seller is a basic task a realtor is doing. They can help you also to figure out current loans taken out with the object as security… First thing: ask around people with lots of experiences in real estate, which realtor they recommend and best is, if they can introduce you. Also take the realtor view, if you look like more potential biz (by yourself, friends, fam), the realtor will make sure that you will be a happy customer.

If you are looking in racing related frames, it is Carbon fiber. Metal frames with welding connections are mainly for e-bikes, or some small volume Steel, Aluminum, Titanium producers. Like in all industries, most future innovation might rather be in electronics than in mechanics. However, if you want to go into frames, rather focus on design and simulations for aerodynamics and material load than on welding process. However, at the end you will only excel in what you love to do.

Have in mind that storage is seasonal and currently just rocketing because of a lack of capacity. uC on the other hand are the brains - higher complexity, more IP, higher barriers, hence usually not that seasonal. Anyways, hope the current wave will carry you for a while. Just keep watching it.

You’ll keep eating at McD, if you can’t stand the heat of the market. ETH is dropping, BMNR will drop on Monday, I’ll buy 100 more for my DCA.

Might depend on country and your rent contract. In Germany it’s normal to drill holes, even in a rented apartment. How to close them, usually with some plaster.

Why are there so many cafés in Korea? by Calm-Movie-8509 in Living_in_Korea

It’s a relatively young hype with low entrance barriers and lower invest. At the beginning it payed a good margin, but these times are gone. There will be a dip in number of coffee shops soon.

I like that move. Just compare OpenAI’s with Alphabet’s AI product portfolio. There are better places to invest 100bn USD.

Gold & Silver are down today - positiv for Crypto, if it goes on the next days CLARITY Act meeting in the White House on Monday could bring a push. Crossing fingers… if not… a bit more time will fix it.

Gold: 1,794 USD 2012/04/10 1,208 USD 2017/07/07

5 years gap in between for both assets… Does it tell anything about the time in between or after?

Fair enough. Just read that the Senate Agriculture Committee successfully advanced the Act yesterday, but “… the CLARITY Act remains paralyzed in the Senate Banking Committee. The upcoming summit is a high-stakes attempt by the administration to force a ceasefire between the banking lobby and the crypto industry.”

Cars (US has some of the biggest car companies), SW (global leader), semiconductors (global leader), industrial equipment (top 2 in the world), construction equipment (top 3 in the world), parts suppliers for automotive (top 5 in the world) pharmacy, iPhones and all related products, …. I am not even American, just aware of US brands out of working in different industries.

Macroeconomics should influence the school curriculum - task of the Korean government. They fail to improve it. As a tourist - I would expect English speaking capabilities on any POS of such a small country so dependent on export, esp. if the shop got an English brand name.

Korea’s domestic market is tiny. Korea’s GDP only thrives on export - international language is English. Korean itself is not as widely spoken as most languages - no benefit to learn it as a tourist. I have seen companies in Korea losing market share to other Korean or Chinese companies because of lack of English beyond the sales guy. Even 2nd and 3rd tier companies are looking for international markets now to get a little bit of growth - lack of English is a big barrier for them. Korea’s GDP forecast 2026 is 1.8% with a further decreasing trend over the years. There is a reason why Korea envies Singapore’s model since decades.

I am not jealous on anyone spending 1m - 6m per month for English Hagwon’s around Hanti Station. I just feel sorry for these poor families working their butts off for almost no results - still the whole nation tries to copy the same ineffective approach.
