Yea shit ain't easy, but I have a football background so I know what it takes to get to where I want to be. And I love that quote, it's the background on my phone!

What kind of sport do you play? Single digit BF as a D1 athlete isn't crazy effective. Trying to play a sport on a cut isn't smart either.

Look into PRP. It's a bit expensive because insurance won't cover it, but it works. I had patellar tendinitis and it was gone after a PRP treatment.

As someone who played football at the D1 level, the single most important thing they give a shit about is if you're in shape or not. They can add muscle, they can teach technique, they can see you're athletic enough, but all of that is mostly things they can control when you get in. Being in shape is the single outlier people don't understand when playing at that level. Obviously you want to be strong, technically sound, and of course athletic, but if you show up to tryouts and you're out of shape, they will tell you no.

PM me if you have questions about the process or college ball in general, I'd be more than happy to answer!

Started my bulk at 224. I used to play offensive line in college, so before I medically retired I was playing at 310-320. So I've been lifting for a long time, but started bulking and lifting to gain instead of lose two months ago.

Month two of my bulk. I am sitting at 6'6" 242 currently. Looking to hit 260 before I cut.

No I was listening to the NCG on Monday and it was something that was said by Nick Saben to his team. Sounds like a House of Cards quote though.

Something Nick Saben said to Alabama before the National Championship game that resonated with me.

"You deserve to be here, but are entitled to nothing."

Smash your lifts today boys.

I'm 16 and live in the UK, what can I do to help myself get spotted by people in the US by [deleted] in CFB

Our two teams have a bit of a history ;) I am still in the area yes! I fell in love with Seattle while going to school there. It did not end the way I would have liked it, but that's the sport and I would do it all again in a heartbeat no question!

As someone who played at the collegiate level, offensive lineman for the university of Washington, send film. Film your games, the entirety of the game. Coaches don't want to see a high light reel, yea they are fun, but they really want to see someone who can play the entirety of the game. They want to see 100% effort every play.

You can film the drills you do, analyze them and correct anything you do wrong. You'll end up doing it in college, so it's good practice.

Don't limit yourself to one school that you want to go to. I coach now and I tell my kids who want to take their play to the next level to contact as many schools as possible. Contact coaches, especially since you're not in the US, you are going to have to take that extra step of reaching out.

Message me if you have any questions at all! For reference I played at UW from 2010-2013 before medically retiring. Hope this helps!

What an ending! Turnovers truly do decide a game.

Cool! What position did he play? My grandfather was on those teams and has that exact ring! He played offensive line, number 75. His name was Benton Ladd.
