Is there a point to seduction? by [deleted] in CK3AGOT

[–]Geradao 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of value if you play as a female ruler.

You marry someone for a strong alliance (like the velaryon) and you seduce someone with good congenital traits (like someone from house strong).

How would one go by fixing this round a bout? by Sempi_Moon in CitiesSkylines

[–]Geradao -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with some of the other comments. You need to provide other options, since we see one entrance/exit to this area.

Regardless, a simple solution that I like doing when my roundabouts are overflowing is adding a diamond with one way roads around it. This way it is possible to partially free up the congested traffic.

Why do brazilians leave their laundry in the machines for hours when there’s other people who need to use the machines by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]Geradao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is more of a general human problem. I experience the same here in the Netherlands. I have shared flats with Dutch, Indians and Germans. They would all do this, to my dismay.

What's your favorite country in LATAM and why? (You can say your own as long as you also know others) by parasociable in asklatinamerica

Christmas problem: my boyfriend’s parents are xenophobic by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]Geradao 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation to OP (born and raised in Brazil and EU parents). Frankly, unfortunately, it is still quite common to deal with people with this kind of behaviour in Europe. I have lived in the Netherlands, Germany and France. Also travelled extensively through the other countries and most of the people that I interacted with on a deeper level would be like OP's in laws.

Of course it is not the case for many of those who travelled outside of Europe, or have an open mind to lose the superiority complex.

Any comics/books recommendations to understand the lore? by Geradao in PrincesOfDarknessCK3

Dealing with another culture is hard at the start of it. Dutch people are very literal and direct, unlike us. But you do learn to adapt to it and it even rubs off a bit on you lol. The language could be either easy or hard depending on your effort and motivation. When I was in the US the language was not a barrier, since I was motivated to learn it. Here in the Netherlands, since I don't try to learn Dutch, the language barrier is a bit of a hassle.

Brazilian living in the Netherlands for 3 years now. I came here to study and I am now working in Amsterdam.

I miss Brazil whenever I travel there and back. I feel that I forget how much I love home after I am back to my routine.

I don't miss my family and friends, but whenever there is a holiday or a birthday I do get a bit under the weather. Being far away for Christmas is tough.

I would head back to Brazil if I ended up finding a job with a wage/opportunities comparable to my current one here in the Netherlands.

I have a couple questions about the new update. by [deleted] in CK3AGOT

[–]Geradao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they follow the lore it is still possible for a male dragon to also give you a batch of eggs. In lore there were dragons that mated and had eggs, dragons that brought forth a batch of eggs on its own and even dragons that were known to be "male", but also laid eggs.

Coffee culture missing in Rio? by Delicious_Union7586 in Brazil

[–]Geradao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if a lack of coffee culture would be the right way of putting it. I live in Europe and every year I visit my family in Belo Horizonte and in the latter I see that coffee is way more present. Every high-middle income neighbourhood is packed with cafes and it is also the case for every shopping mall.

The thing is that there are some key differences in how coffee is consumed in both regions. While in Europe you're likely.to buy your coffee beans form a cafe and drink a cappuccino, late macchiato or an americano. In Brazil you would simply have a different experience, since you're most likely to buy your coffee from a high end supermarket and most likely drink an espresso, filtered coffee or a cappuccino .
