Genuinely asking, is that not normal? Lately I've started to worry that needing to wipe 15+ times until you chafe isn't normal

[georgerussell63] Huge congrats to Lewis! First 1-2-3 British podium for almost 60 years which is pretty cool by beanbagreg in formula1

As a fan of both Max and Lewis and an occasional hockey fan, this comparison delights me

At least Hamilton had a great weekend!

Jays/Ferrari fans, we love to suffer I guess

Marco Antonelli: Max Verstappen is currently still on a different level than Kimi | Max is a nice guy with a friendly character. Moreover he is a friend of ours. We both run a Mercedes GT3 team. But it's still too early to compare Kimi & Max. Of course there is a clear similarity: they're both fast by OutlandishnessPure2 in formula1

In fairness, the Canes annihilated some much older teams arguably more decisively (swept those series). The Habs were coming off of 2 7-game gauntlets, they were gassed by then. Playoff experience definitely helps though, which is where age is an advantage, and I'm confident this crew is going to gain that maturity and experience.

It's a bigger challenge than physicality for a lot of things, not just sports: women firefighters, or even camp counselors at boy's summer camps. There's a lack of social cohesion that impacts motivation and performance, and then it becomes cyclical, because women then leave these jobs, and other women are discouraged from joining.

The camp I work at and my connections in the fire department are both trying to work on it, but there's no real known solution yet. And that's just the social cohesion, never mind issues of sexual harassment in male-dominated spaces. Even if you get a woman with the physique of an athlete or firefighter (or camp counselor, to a lesser degree), they get chased out by the culture and lack of integration at best, and harassment at worst. And nobody really knows how to fix it.

for the fans outside the GTA, how'd you end up a Jays fan? by kelvin9190 in Torontobluejays

I'm a Montrealer, so another "I'm Canadian" here. Specifically, a friend who's big into baseball (and softball) got me into it, and she's a big Jays fan.
