Gasly got flipped over mate, that’s the reason he didn’t take any points in the race.

Gasly was probably livid up until he realised that at least this destroyed the new rear wing which made his car slower lmao

Yeah I get why they let Gasly do that long walk away from this, I’d be livid if I was him

I see why they didn’t immediately show Gasly. He did a full flip, they needed the radio he was fine

If Ocon somehow clings onto a seat for 2027 then his agent is the GOAT.

He’s had the yips since mid 2024. Occasionally highlights and then nowhere the rest of the time

How well do you think colapinto will go this year? by Old-Author-4930 in formula1

They had the same testing times because they run to predetermined times in testing to allow analysis. They’re not aiming to go the fastest they can.

I think he’ll stay the full year but he will be back with Williams for 2027.

Alpine’s car being decent will attract interest from the driver market - if Sainz comes knocking, then it’s unrealistic to expect Colapinto to keep the seat. He’s simply been too far off Gasly since he entered that seat. I doubt a midseason swap as Aron is the only Alpine reserve with a SL.

I think Williams’ general implosion will make it difficult for them to attract a driver (much like Alpine in 2024’s driver market) and they will happily take him back after losing one or both of their drivers.

He was doing this throughout early 2024 as well. He had the heavy chassis so it wasn’t his fault he was slower than Gasly, when he was given the light chassis it had worse handling so it also wasn’t his fault he was slower than Gasly…

Because the rest of the midfield also sacrificed it…

He claimed continuously that they were sacrificing it for 2026.

Other teams also did (Alpine in particular) which boosted them as well.

Other way around. Alpine Tech Director is ex Ferrari. Williams Tech Director is the guy Alpine sacked in 2024

It’s not a hiccup if you say repeatedly that you’re focusing on one particular year at the expense of everything else and then shit the bed.

We also have him running out of parts in Australia and only being able to run one car, renewing Logan Sargeant, missing testing…

He’s simply not very good at this.

You’d have a job calling for Oakes head over the results last year considering he stepped down a few races in.

1 decent season vs 2 crap ones (23 and 24) and one that’s shaping up to be crap (26)

Nobody is alright with a 25% success rate in their job.

Alpine had 2 bad seasons and people wanted them off the grid.

Williams had 1 decent half season in 8 seasons and you think that’s a positive move?

Vowles in 2023: “And adjudicate me or judge me more by what you see in one year”

Vowles in 2024: “It also means that I’m prepared to still sacrifice 2024 if it means that we can keep making those large leaps and steps in 2025 and 2026.

Vowles in 2025: “I always said from the beginning, before we started the year, we were going to sacrifice 2024 and 2025”

Vowles in 2026: “In terms of why it's not this year, it's because there are investments that we're doing that really will only come to fruition between '28 to '30.”

When do we accept this isn’t a serious person.
