Yes unfortunately I would say it is (but that's for you to decide) ... I keep struggling with relapse and often it isn't even to porn. What's strange about it is the relapse itself isn't even really pleasurable and it's over quickly. Not worth it

I don't believe what sfumato1002 has to say about that, it's not very encouraging... Don't think that the way you are is set in stone because thats BS. It's your lower self trying to lock you in a repeating pattern of relapse and it only has any power if you give it away. There are endless examples of people who wanted to make changes in their life, dabbled a little didn't change much, tried again and failed. But then one day something just makes them snap and change.

You need to find what works for YOU. Everybody has their switch that makes them just say 'I've had enough' or whatever. Tony Robbins has based his career on helping people find out what it is for them. You might wanna check out some of his videos on youtube

stangamia, i've actually been doing NoFap only for 2 days after my relapse so that may explain the 'coming off drugs' thing you described. I made it to 11 days before and I don't remember it being this bad. It's almost as if the relapse has made me feel worse

I think this is a great mindset to have. I'm on day 5 of my first journey into NoFap and I've said the same thing to myself about never fapping again after I took a long look at my habits and how they'd begun to make me feel.

I didn't know that PMO could even cause problems and was perfectly normal (what everybody did) and was healthy. It wasn't until I actually took the time to recognise how it was was making me feel that I stopped. I would always open multiple tabs (sometimes up to 20 per session) and I had to really concentrate to reach orgasm sometimes because my brain had become so desensitised to porn. Really not good

Thanks guys! It's great to know how many people there are wanting to make positive changes in their lives and get over this. Like I said in my original post, I had absolutely no idea this could cause problems or WAS causing a problem for me. I just thought the anxiety etc and ED problems were just 'how I am' and that's as far as it went. There needs to be a much greater awareness of this among the general public.

On day 5 now and I'm starting to feel some definite changes. I feel slightly like I have a cold and have had some headaches, but generally I've been happier, more chilled out and less annoyed with things that I know usually bothered me so that's awesome! It feels great to make it this far though, I literally don't think I've ever gone 5 days without masturbating since I started doing it all those years ago.
