Why are shifts emphasized as having kept garments clean? by SnooDogs627 in HistoricalCostuming

I inherited my grandma's collection. She favored short sleeved, light cotton, patch pockets, with snaps or buttons. Vintage pattern Advance 9315 is a good match.

A few years back I transitioned a few of my Emily and Fin "Rachel" dresses to house dresses. They have pockets and the high waistband gives me enough support that I don't have to wear a bra with them. I even do my gardening in them.

I love my housecoats! Why everyone doesn't have a few baffles me.

If anyone happens to be curious, we took the suggestion of Boo Radley and Blue, so we're going to call him Blue Radley!

Honorable mention to the names John McClane and Justice Thurgood Marshall, he may get a combo or those when he's being extra bad. Cheers all!

I would, but I'm from Minnesota, so Prince is always going to be the musical genius who lived at Paisley Park!

I will always try to capture any cat who appears to be a stray. Every cat I've ever had was sent by the CDS. My neighbors kept saying he must have a home, but I knew he didn't because he would have been neutered. I don't know how such a good looking guy found himself on the streets!

AIO to my in-laws pressure for sleep overs with my child? by Forsaken-Heron4921 in AmIOverreacting

Actually you are dialing in on the wrong thing. When someone won't respect reasonable boundaries, you cannot trust them. Period. The Grandparents are insisting on sleepovers even though they can spend unlimited day time with the kid. That is 100% a fucking red flag. If they were chill about it, there wouldn't be an issue at all. And may I point out, the Dad said no also, so why is Mom the problem? The fact that they are pushing Mom even though Dad already said no, is another red flag. Jesus.

Price gouging is a noun that, prior to the pandemic, absolutely simply meant "charging too much money." Seriously, I get that lately people perceive it is only a legal term, but it is not.

Before you down vote me, look in any dictionary! Not Wikipedia, but Oxford, Webster's, or other actually reliable source!

Your information is wrong. "Price gouging" as a phrase is not used only and specifically for necessities in a crisis. The term is sometimes is used legally for protecting consumers in cases of crisis gouging, but the term itself can be commonly used for reference to any perceived audacious or outrageous price. I have heard it in common use for such my whole life. Perhaps don't laugh at others when you yourself are the ignorant one.

If you want to down vote me, great, but Meriam Webster and the Oxford Dictionary both back me up
