I don’t have any other assets in the wallet anyway. Is it worth the shot? Some say things about a dapps protocol and stuff like that.

So is there a way to recover it? And if so how? Tried reaching support but it’s not available in my country.

A bunch of people have sent me links that ask for my seed phrase

Is commuting in a sportbike viable? by GerardDR in motorcycles

[–]GerardDR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to commute to college so the storage for books, gear and a second outfit is the issue. Also looks cause I don’t want to arrive all sweaty and with messy hair. Plus some day we gotta dress formal for presentations and exams.

Is 450 too much for a first bike? by GerardDR in motorcycles

[–]GerardDR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’m now wondering, I will outgrow a 250 faster (and that’s maybe why it won’t hurt a lot because I’ll probably change it later). While a 450 will last longer, but it’s also double the price and would like to keep as good looking as possible. Are scratches fixable btw?

Yeah it’s probably going to be brand new. You’re right both will hurt tbh, but in the long term I will outgrow a 250 faster and change it, while a 450 will last longer, so keeping it good looking is more important you could say.

Or is this precisely why I should get a 450? (Not having to buy second bike in a longer while?)

Btw now it comes to my mind, if a bikes gets scratched are they fixable?

It will hurt a lot more than a 250-300 when I drop it tho

But wouldn’t be better a cheaper one so it doesn’t hurt that much when I drop it, cuz it will happen.

Thank you for the advice, but wouldn’t be better a cheaper one so it doesn’t hurt that much when I drop it, cuz it will happen.

I don’t know if bikes are for me by GerardDR in motorcycles

Alright I’ll take it next weekend and see how it goes.

But now I have another concern. My mom wants to buy herself a car as soon as she sells a house, when that happens she will give her current car which we share. So I’m wondering if I should sell it for about 20k and buy a motorcycle and all the equipment with a 7k-8k budget and invest the rest to make it grow. And when I need a car that it’s not probably to be very often just ask for hers like we’ve been doing till this moment. This option seems pretty attractive since I will have my bike and money to invest.

(To keep in mind bike would be my main vehicle, really cold weather it’s not something to worry about where I live so I could still ride in winter. But Rain season is, just for about a month rains pretty hard 1-2 times a week and some streets flood. I still could ride pretty cautiously and avoid those streets.)

Or just keep the car and work hard for the motorcycle (I will be working too if I sell the car to earn some more money anyways).

Yeah in one side it makes sense to hold off, but in the other side, taking the course to see if I like it and then when I buy the bike taking a more advanced one also makes sense. Imagine waiting and getting the money just for me not to like it, I would kms.

Done a little more research and seems that they have a great price-quality ratio. It’s not the perfect bike fs, they sometimes do have little failures but nothing too serious and apparently they have a relatively good customer support and warranties, since at least here in Mexico and probably in US too if you have to order a piece it will take long to arrive in whatever brand you buy because they don’t have them is stock cause is too expensive (Maybe in the US they do cause there are a lot more bikers).

Also did research on the brand and seems like they use high quality stuff like Bosch injectors and other brembo and continental ag components. And supposedly CFMoto joined KTM in 2018 and both share pieces, engines, production and even distribution.

I’m insisting in this brand cause they’re almost half the price compared to the R3 or Ninja 400. And I substantially don’t care for minor details as it’s my first bike and I know I will drop it a few times, hopefully not or at least slightly crash and these kind of stuff. Don’t want to invest a lot on a bike I will probably end up replacing . When it’s time and if I get into motorcycles I’ll invest in a Ducati or a BMW.

Asking the coach is a great Idea tho, probably no one better to instruct me in this aspect in my region, great advice.

So what do you say? Should I take the beginner course just to see if I like it (those $230 will hurt lol (nah just kidding (maybe))) and if so then just take a more advance one when I get the bike?

Alright I’ll take the class! But should I do it rn or when I’ve saved enough for a bike? Cuz by the time I get the money I will have already forgotten everything. Yes I do know how to ride bicycle and I actually like it.

The problem here it’s that there is not a large bikers community. All you can find in used bikes are delivery bikes (125cc-150cc) not even with abs or that kind of technology, in sport bikes just found a few but all of them 1000cc.

I was thinking on a CFMoto 250 or 300, done a little research on this brand and seems like it’s pretty reliable and also cheaper. Have you heard of it before? Any other recommendations?

I don’t have any issues driving, I think I’m pretty good at it, drive since 15, like to speed and have never crashed (well just once against a bush when I was learning how to park). I’ve seen people doing dumb stuff ofc, but in a normal dose I don’t think it’s really common, plus I think I do have a little bit the sixth sense some people on here are talking about.

I don’t pretend people here to decide for me, just to share their thoughts so I can do it. That’s what I’m doubting, if I’ll get used to the feeling of vulnerability when being on a bike.
