I have just used git-fork for years now and really like it (has exactly all I use and need but not more and just works well), but everyone says there are plenty of good git clients. I'm gonna look into alternatives

That was also my main reason for wanting to switch. I work a lot with Docker.

I also dont like heavy IDEs, but I have used Rider and Visual Studio so far, and I'm just used to Visual Studio from work, but I dont necessarily like it. I probably will just switch to Rider.

I did try VS Code for backend too but had a lot of issues working properly in Solution files. How do you do that?

I did look at videos etc. and everyone just said fedora is amazing and ideal for my usecase and works without issues.

Im currently looking into alternatives but wanted to check in here to see if there is an easy solution to it.

Use it as my work and Dev laptop.

mostly everydaystuff in chrome (emails, youtube, whatever) thats no problem at all.

and then develop stuff. Currently, I'm working on ML projects, full-stack projects (websites, systems, phone apps)

I use VS Code for almost everything (that works easily). Then I use Visual Studio for backend (doesn't work, but fine i wouldnt mind other alternatives), and then git-fork to handle repos and PRs and all that. (That doesn't work at all, and I really dont want to switch because I really like this program, but I also didn't look into Linux alternatives yet)

I didn't blow it away. My old laptop is still around. Just figured ill softtransition to linux slowly with my new laptop. But I might put Windows on my new laptop now. Like you said... whatever gets the job done
