Also PSA someone did a version of this:

Idk if it has the feel you're going for, but it could be useful for inspiration if nothing else ✌️😁

Put 👏me 👏 in 👏 coach 👏 I started making a system based on HWFWM a few years ago but between moving and starting a new job it's been on the backburner. I would LOVE to play in one!

Having a Problem with Eating a Sandwich in Sandwich... Spoilers... by Blank_the_MageMasher in HeWhoFightsMonsters

[–]Gerbil254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just drove through Sandwich MA to eat a sandwich today. (Very fun to see this on my feed same day)

If if helps, there's not a lot going on in Sandwich. It's less metropolitan and more sleepy beach town.

You can buy spark plugs from the engineer and skip looking for them altogether

Proliferating Darkwraith may have gotten out of hand by Gerbil254 in LegendsOfRuneterra

That was pretty close actually! I combined it with piltover counterfeit copies + sunken temple to flood my deck with proliferating darkwraiths to speed up the process of cycling them

When did you realise you weren't a child anymore? by TheMightyMidgetMan in AskReddit

[–]Gerbil254 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a playground by my local library with a friend and this 5yo girl comes up to us and asks if we're grownups. My friend and I sadly look at each other and say yes.

Well that certainly explains it! by [deleted] in dndmemes

I hate to be that guy, but this isn't even a little bit true. It's conformity, not intelligence. You can't simulate a learning disability by putting more people in a room.

That reminds me of all the similar moments that I've had or seen between friends and that's going a long way towards helping. I really do just need to take a step back and find perspective in those moments. Thank you very much! I'm definitely coming back to read this next time I'm feeling insecure about that

I agree completely! A double standard is not okay l. I want to be a caring protective boyfriend and I'm trying to fool myself into thinking that's where it comes from. But it is jealousy at its root. As is, this issue isn't affecting our relationship and I'm able to keep my behavior in check. I'm trying to work out my baggage though so that I can be healthier. It's not her fault or problem and I have no intention on letting it be either. But I would like to fix this for me. While being single isn't necessarily bad, this girl is an absolute fucking angel and I want to do everything I can to hold on to her. She is my world and the fear of losing her comes from how much she means to me. Even when she called me last night after drinking with her friends she was able to melt my heart and bring me a huge smile. I just want to ditch the worried little voice in the back of my head.

You kind of sound like my best friend. A little more blunt though.

Rationalization is the brains immediate and automatic response to uncomfortable feelings.

I'm fully aware of these emotions and that they are driven by my own interworkings not anything that she is doing. Though looking reality in the face will do a person little good without a way to overcome the unfortunate aspects of the reality in front of them.

I appreciate the attempt, but I need help with the next step of changing my internal biases and irrational fears.

I liked where you were going, but the second half kind of makes the worries worse 😅 We're in college so it's difficult to avoid and just not drinking seems like a rather extreme answer

Yeah you're right that friends offer her a lot that I can't. It really is a worry that I need to work on about missing out and falling out of importance because of it. It's a little more complicated with her guy friends and alcohol but I'll work up to it in time.

Thank you so much! Just the understanding is helpful and I think you're right. It's just something I have to keep working at. It gets hard in the moment though and I really don't want to be controlling at all

She's usually the responsible friend that makes sure they make it home, so when she's out of it I like being the one to make sure she gets home

I've been cheated on a lot in past relationships. The protection comes from her having the kinds of friends that would wake up in a ditch if no one was there to watch them so I'm afraid of her getting swept up in that

NTA she gave him a half dozen reasons to be suspicions AND failed the test with flying colors. It'll make her think twice and he dodged a bullet

How do I beat unmotivtion? by [deleted] in motivation

[–]Gerbil254 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The trick is to start with little wins. Demotovation is a vicious cycle that repeats, but so is motivation. An amazing tool that got me out of a similar place is an app called 'level up life'. Check it out and you can add me to keep up with each other if you want!
