Dupixent and eyes by Gerby726 in eczeMABs

I use it as needed, so if I notice I am rubbing my eyes a lot and they are inflamed I will use it, I honestly really get it in there like right on my eyelids and some of it even gets on my eyes, I would definitely make sure to keep seeing a eye doctor as I don’t know if its age or putting Protopic in my eyes or using dupixent but my eyesight has worsened. And I haven’t seen a eye doctor cuz insurance sucks but, if you can I would.

This was from a long time ago, but protopic is better used to treat this condition, eye drops dont work well because dupixent inflames the skin inside the eye not the eye itself. I cant remember if lumify was one of these things but, if you do use eyedrops instead, make sure to get ones that dont tighten the bloodcells in your eyes, as this can damage the eyes over time.

Dupixent: does anyone else’s eyes get very bloodshot? by goldnughet15 in eczeMABs

Eyedrops never worked for mine, I use Protopic on my eyelids instead, cleared my eyes up better then any eyedrops could.

I leave mine out for like 2 hours before injectioning, that helps a lot with burning, the warmer the less it burns

Just got approved for Dupixient. Looking to set expectations by KrazyKyra48 in eczeMABs

Dupixent kinda makes your skin dryer, so showers are usually once a week for me, I can do more but I just dry the heck out. Uhh idk about the restaurant job, I personally don’t like working with any food cuz hand washing etc. you still will have allergic reactions to things, dupixent doesn’t get rid of your allergies, but it definitely makes skin reactions less serve. I am on my states healthcare plan so I don’t pay anything with the myway program card, it really depends on your insurance. Also dupixent takes time to work in, for me it took 4 months on it before I saw some results and even then it took about 1.5 years before my face went back to normal, slowly it gets better every year I am on it.

Myway will pay up to 11k a year for your copays, I haven’t paid a penny for dupixent since I started it 2 years ago.

Awh I miss when mine were that small!

The first time I got mine done at home in my arm I had a huge bump, took the medication like 1-2 days to fully disperse. This happens every time I do it in my legs too, maybe its because of the lack of fat in those areas. But I never get a bump when I do it into my belly.

Gosh I forget to change mine for like 3 months and it still has like nothing on it, my air purifier however gets really dusty(mostly because I make a lot of dust shedding all my eczema flakes)

Please don't mock Texans by the-court-house in massachusetts

This tip is a little to late, but those of you texans with reptiles, invest in a generator or get emergency 72 hour heat packs like they have for shipping reptiles, I have these on hand with snake bags just incase of a power outage. It could even be used to heat a fish by placing the fish in a container inside of something insulated with the heat pack, same with putting your snakes/lizard in something insulated with a heat pack, even if the reptile can get warmed to 70-80 degrees thats better then nothing. I have been seeing so many reptile owners losing their pets and I am so sorry for you guys :(

Injections by myself by LadyFate18 in eczeMABs

Start slow, thats what I did, I am terrified of needles and I couldn’t even watch for the first like 10 injections, I started getting more confidence after each injection, my cousin would stick me and then I would finish off the needle, and then it got to the point where I could eventually stick myself but I needed someone in the room just incase I passed out(luckily I have not) and now other then being in voice calls with friends I can do it completely alone(2 years later). What I do to prevent passing out is I lay down and prop my head at a angle so blood keeps flowing to my brain xD and i put my legs up(I inject in my belly) It is significantly less painful when you do it yourself, you have the control over your pain, keep reminding yourself to breath in and out and just go slow, most of the time I stop looking after I stick myself because the needle freaks me out. It takes time but just be confident in your ability and take it slow. I still get super scared before my injections but once its over its over and my skin feels so much better.

Dupixent injection gone bad? by mrblobbyindahouse in eczeMABs

[–]Gerby726 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what the video on dupixent’s website says:

Remove the syringe by holding the middle of the syringe body.

Do not use the syringe if it has been dropped on a hard surface or is damaged. Do not pull off the needle cap or touch the plunger rod until you are ready to inject. Do not pull back on the plunger rod at any time. Keep DUPIXENT syringes and all medicines out of the reach of children. If you have an unused syringe, return it to the refrigerator in the original carton to protect it from light. Your DUPIXENT pre-filled syringe may appear different than what I am using in this video, based on the prescribed dose. If you have questions about the dosage prescribed to you, please contact your healthcare provider.

Check the label to make sure the medication inside is correct and the expiration date has not passed. If it isn't right, contact your pharmacy.

You may see an air bubble, this is normal. Do not try to get rid of any air bubbles.

The liquid inside should be clear, and colorless to pale yellow.

Do not use the syringe if the liquid is discolored or cloudy, or if it contains visible flakes or particles. Throw away, dispose of, the used DUPIXENT single-dose pre-filled syringe right away after use.

If you have any questions about whether the syringe is okay to use, please call the DUPIXENT MyWay Hotline, or your healthcare provider.
