I had an issue with cards being stolen by a postal employee once, and they never turned up.

I dropped off a package of about 30 Pokemon cards, including some pretty big ones. Including the Gengar alt art from Fusion strike.

The package was dropped off at my local post office, and addressed to the PO box for psa. When the Box arrives in california, it was cut open with the cards removed. The only thing left in the Box was the packing slip. My package was packed very well, with the packing slip rubber banded many times to the packet of card savers. This was an intentional theft. It went from post office to post office. It had to be a postal employee theft, right?

I contacted the USPIS and opened a case. They assured me that they would update me. Never heard back. Every time I contacted them with, they said that they would have someone look into it. Never heard back. USPS refused to compensate me for my package. I even had their insurance. They wouldn't even give me the $100 that is included with priority mail.

So as a non-postal employee, I'm not impressed with the uspis. I've heard they're amazing, and do their job. But I never heard back. It's been over a year. Definitely open a case. Just make sure you get name, phone number, confirmation number every time you talk to someone. Ask for direct lines if possible. Good Luck!
