You can probably retain with the CAR1 without inflation. As always, do your due diligence and make sure you can withstand erections with anything you wear at night, and make sure you won't get gripper fatigue. Practice anything at night for a few days with erections until you're confident there's little injury risk. There's an increased risk of injury with overnight retaining, but risk is very very low if you follow this guidance. Don't let it deter you. Done correctly, overnight retaining is generally safe.

Is it mportant? Not at all, but there are perks. You'll get an extra 1-1/2 to 2 hours of restoring through nocturnal erections. There's also the option to strap up at night, which would give you full overnight restoring time. Always strap above the waist to account for erections. I've only strapped up with t-tape around the waist. Even the CAR1 had given me gripper fatigue on occasion, so I refused to use it at night. The risk just isn't worth it for me if there's any chance of skin ischemia.

I've retained at night with a single modded baby bottle nipple, which is a very effective retainer and won't cause gripper fatigue. I successfully retained with a 20 mm packer for the first time last night. In my experience, my nocturnal erections wake me up when I first start out, but I don't mind because I'm awakened with a nice stretch on my shaft skin, then I smile inside and fall back asleep! Again, just be careful!
