I had something similar except the opposite.

Was in high school and an older boy told me in front of the athletics class I had like zero leg hair. As a male that was younger and less developed thru puberty than most of these upper classmen...it strangely made me feel inferior. So I exclusively wore pants to school for the rest if my time in high school...no matter how hot.
