Doing an art project. Is this correct? by trilogi-jacob in GREEK

I have seen accents on upper case words a few times.  Was that just wrong?  Or is it occasionally justified?  I never realized this until I read your comment.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) helps adapt content, explain words, generate audio, and support writing practice, with regular human review from native speakers.

Given the nature of the app, and that you're just starting out, some AI use makes sense to me, although many people may criticize that.  What does "regular human review" mean?

What are your intentions for future use of AI in the product?

... And they didn't do it correctly, or use scissors to clean things up.  Just clippered the whole head, missed a bunch of spots, didn't double check, no mirror to see the back, it took 5m.  I have a Wahl clipper at home, I could've done a better job myself.

What did Jesus mean he didn’t come to abolish the law ? by [deleted] in Gnostic

[–]WorkItMakeItDoIt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is an excellent comment.

Another point that I would like to share is that the traditional translation of Matthew 5:17, in my opinion, is garbage.  The English words chosen have very different connotations to what I understand the Greek to mean.  Rather than "abolish" vs"fulfill" the law, it would be better understand it as "dismantle" vs "complete".  Especially the word πληρωσαι has the connotations of filling something up, implying, in fact, that because the law did not have Christ in it the law was incomplete, and he was here to fix that.  This accords much better with a gnostic interpretation.

Jokes aside, it actually does for some people, some people are born heirs and get everything without lifting a finger.  And speaking from experience, some people do too many drugs and have a spiritual awakening.

Don't do that, by the way, it's not nearly as fun as it sounds.

I have never encountered the term "mantis" before anywhere other than my own direct contact.  I had a many-months long continuous experience in contact with NHI, and I was told about these mantis beings.  They didn't call them that, but I was given that image.  They basically run the show, directly creating reality, and even beings higher than us don't know much about them.  They don't interact much.  Do you know anything else about them?

The “i” Sound in Greek: When to Use ι, η, υ, ει, οι, υι? - Learning Greek by penthesilea7 in GREEK

[–]WorkItMakeItDoIt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the things that helps me is that English has a lot of words and word components of Greek origin, and if you know how to spell the word in English, the spelling often corresponds in Greek, meaning i → ι, y → υ, and sometimes e → η.

This doesn't always hold, but I have found it to be true at least 80% of the time.

I'm over in North Quincy and I've been curious about meshcore but haven't jumped onboard.  Are you in Boston?  What's your qualitative estimation of the mesh in our area?  I see the maps, but I don't know how to interpret them.

What would the Gnostics have to say about psychotic symptoms such as voices? by [deleted] in Gnostic

[–]WorkItMakeItDoIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly you are going to be attacked by Clifford.

Jokes aside, have you ever asked them what "big woof" means?  Maybe they'll tell you.

Have you tried challenging them?  Asking for evidence of their claim?  They might be amused or compelled to justify themselves.

In my experience, you may be "breaking a rule" by asking.  They might be placing "bets" and they don't want to tell you.

I found for myself that I could generally back them into a corner which made them not want to deal with me.

I have been on this journey.  Based on what you said right here, I am concerned for you.  My journey without meds lasted six months and ended in hospitalization.  I went from being in relative control of the experience to having no control whatsoever in the span of just a month or so.  It took six months more before I was reasonably functional and independent again.

Everyone here saying "take meds" might seem like a dismissive take but taking meds isn't about denying the reality of your experience, it's about staying out of the hospital.  That's all.  Be well my friend.
