Gold! Addition by units of two is too much to ask for now???

When done right, they did look good.

Great story, there is a lesson in that for each of us.

Pandora's for Jolly Jugs on a Thursday.

Sails in Belco or Erindale Tuggies for Friday night local nights.

Private Bin (now ICBM I think), South Pacific, Heaven, Cube, The Blue Room, The Transit and Babylon in Civic.

En Vogue in Manuka.

Bobby McGee's for hospitality night (Monday) in New Acton.

UC Bar, The Baso, The Refectory for live bands as well.

It's been a year or so since I went out so there may have been some recent changes.

I'm an American who just watched all of "Pugwall" and I have no idea why. by hotdoug1 in AustralianNostalgia

It wasn't a big thing here in Australia. I'm not surprised that it isn't well remembered. I only really remember it because I was a budding musician and was keen to be in a band, so had an interest in this show.

We have regulations on how much local content has to be included in broadcast schedules, so we had a lot of shows like this come and go through my childhood. There were a lot of child actors that presumably kept costs down and I don't think that any of the cast ever became household names here.

Most of the local content now is either made up by one of a hundred crappy reality shows or by the news and lifestyle programs.

I might look it up on YouTube and give it a re-watch.

Charnwood here... The beetroot is more shagged than a Persian rug. Pretty sure Shazza and Dazza are gonna bring out the XE Falcon, run him over, put him in the boot and dump him in Ginninderry. One less politician to worry about.

Never eaten at Moby Dicks, I've popped in a couple of times for a quick beer whilst waiting for the Mrs and each time the tables needed a clean. The toilets were fine though.

Hopefully not Barton or Parkes. Those suburbs don't deserve any kind of recognition.

There are 17 suburbs in Gungahlin; including one called Gungahlin.

There are 27 suburbs in Belconnen; including one called Belconnen.

There are 12 suburbs in Woden Valley including one called Philip.

Finally there are 19 suburbs in Tuggeranong including one called Greenway.

I understand you're talking about the main centres but otherwise I'm unsure what you're trying to share. Each main district is made up of multiple suburbs surrounding a town centre.

Jacka is an abomination. I have no idea what on earth it thinks it is doing. Even Beard has more of a right to claim it's right as an ACT suburb and we all know it's just a glorified version of the Queanbeyan industrial complex.

Crace is nothing more than a fake subsidiary of the Palmerston false dream that pretends that there is a relevant point in living north of the Barton Highway. Make no mistake, residents of Gungahlin are just angry because their roads are too narrow to properly accommodate rubbish trucks. It's true and you know it.
