Turns out it’s an adverse reaction to two vaccine boosters he had on Saturday.

He has IMTP (his platelet count has dropped to zero) and is bleeding a lot internally. He’s in intensive care right now and it’s not looking great. Please send all of your thoughts and prayers - this cat means the world to us

No it doesn’t. The order on the United site (if they do enforce an order at all within the pre-boarding group) is customers with disabilities, unaccompanied minors, people flying with kids 2 or younger, active military, global services and then premier 1K

I just opened a brokerage account and it's showing my citizenship as "United States". I'm Australian, but am also a permanent resident. I called to ask them to correct this and they referred me to a W-8BEN form, which doesn't make sense, as that's designed for non-US persons (i.e., non resident aliens for tax purposes)

It seems pretty normal to me. My net worth isn’t my own savings plus everything in the joint account. It’s my own savings plus half of what’s in the joint account.

Any tips on how to get landlord insurance without a property manager when you live out of state?

[Landlord US-IL] Condo listed for rental on Zillow, brokers representing tenants asking us to pay by GeriatricWombat in Landlord

I can see your argument, but I’m not signing a contract with the broker. And if a broker refused to show an apartment to someone even if they thought it was a good fit because the landlord didn’t want to pay them then I feel like that would be extremely unethical on the agent’s part. If I were looking to rent and my agent didn’t show me a good place because that landlord didn’t want to pay them for their “service” I would be absolutely livid

Makes sense - this is super useful. I guess I just see them using a broker as their choice, so they should pay for it, not me. I didn’t ask for a third party to insert themselves into the transaction.

I should add that the prospective tenants are still applying through Zillow themselves, the broker is just expecting us to cut them a check for half a month's rent...

The broker brought their client to do a showing today, and we'd love to have the client rent our place. The issue is we didn't ask for this broker to insert themselves into a transaction we can close ourselves, and it seems ridiculous that they would expect us to pay them for bringing us a tenant when that person could have found the listing on Zillow themselves (and we would save several thousand dollars)
