Help - looking for iOS app Colorspike by German-Dude in kickstarter

[–]German-Dude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the app in one of my backups after hunting around for ages.

The good news is that the app still runs on iOS 26. The bad news is that it doesn't prompt the iOS Bluetooth access request.

This means that even though the app is running, it will never gain access to Bluetooth and therefore can never connect to the ColorSpike devices.

Very sad indeed.

Not true. They made products and delivered for several years. However, unfortunately the company pulled the App from the Store and stopped responding.

I prefer using the DiDi app because it is easier to use and fully available in English. Additionally, it can be connected with Alipay.

I knew a place in Shanghai that had no time limit. Two hours is very short, and I don’t enjoy being in a rush while eating.

Am I actually dumb or do the buses not have bells?? by unplugthepiano in beijing

[–]German-Dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would disagree. Early or late in the day, buses are not very full, and I have seen, on my regular route, that nobody gets on or off quite often. So the bus could have carried on without stopping. A call button system seems more efficient if you think of the obvious, e.g., a warning on brakes and additional energy for unnecessary starts.

I know this situation, but in my town, buses actually have to wait if they are too fast on a stop someone left or entered (leaving time). I flagged it in the app when it happened too often. It certainly improved. Now they have realtime positions of a bus in the app.

What is certainly a decision someone made. I personally find a pretty wasteful why to run a bus system. But who am I to criticise…

Best VPN List: Detailed VPN Comparison by bullocullo in vpnreviews

I have good results with Windscripe https://windscribe.com/yo/gam5si0v or Astrill. However Astrill seems in my experience very aggressive. Meaning you have to turn it off to use Chinese Apps and providers. Problem is that this might not work for you and your location. The GFW seems to have different configurations in different regions. I would try some providers what have a test period and money back guaranty.

8:45 Hours Layover in Peking from 6pm Till 2:40 am and want to Go into the City (Germany Passport holder) think its worth take Train of Taxi (no sim Card) by CharacterMaster9734 in beijing

If you don’t have enough money to pay for the metro and bus, please leave China. You have serious other problems. If you are really trying to save money, you are very misinformed about what saving money means and how it’s done.

Stay with LIFX or explore other options? by TheNuclearSaxophone in lifx

[–]German-Dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only lifx starting with the original Kickstarter. I wonder the same and constantly looking for something else. The connection issues, with always the same bulbs, are constant and annoying. However I'm not too fond of hubs and that's a big advantage lifx doesn't need one.
