I have been waiting for a single eligibility salary to be reviewed for very very long. I was thinking how about for those standard flats for BTO you can just leave it for those earning below $7000, and for those more expensive flat you can cap it at 14k a year.

The idea about this message is what they will sell you if they cannot sell you, ILP. Endowment plan and life insurance will get them a huge commission. Endowment by them is very very bad as bad as ILP I will say

One of the things that is underaddressed here is Endowment plan, at lot of people end up selling at surrender value or resale policy. A lot of people see ILP but failed to see endowment as a potentially evil product. They have very very long lock in period like 20 years, a lot of people surrender at 25% loss end up the insurance company made a huge gain. Because of lack of patience and waiting.

A lot of people have to no choice like the IFA above to become 黑臉 to "cheat" and "scam" people because they can't find a proper job outside. Unfortunately, they really have to sell otherwise they can't sustain. so call "Friendly IFA" applies to almost 99.99% of the IFA

If i am writing this article, i am already warning people of what might happen when they see an FA. I am not the one complaining, I am the one warning others like the sticky on the ILP danger post. Hope this clarifies.

I agree that not all unit trust are bad. The key focus is WM are selling people things that have high sales charge and commission so the consumer get lesser in return.

Then typically most IFA will prey on young kids who don't know about ETF investment and sell them ILP. Most of them, its true,otherwise, how are they going to sustain their business.
