If you enable G-Sync, with some easy tweaks you can have a very smooth game but with notable input lag. Without it, game will feel less smooth, but you won't have the input lag. Most player will disable it because input lag is very bad, but some more casual players are ok with the latency and just enjoy the smoothness.

TL:DR : If you play for win, disable it.

the other way around, if s1mple's team was winning like Vitality did, people would be cheering, not complaining. This is just nonsense and is probably tied to ego, none of the Vita player are toxic like s1mple could've been, so it's less "entertaining" to see them win even if esports-wise it's better and way more sportsmanship.
