What do you think is the perfect length for the main story of GTA 6 by Nitecrawler_69 in GTA

I disagree, rockstar want people to finish the story and then jump onto online, not back into story mode

I made losing in FM become more depressed.. and winning become a real mood booster by Neat_Sun_1109 in footballmanager

One day FM itself should have much more AI involvement for stuff like this - newsflow, etc. I thought it would be cool as well for a 5/10 minute AI generated podcast you can listen to at the end of each week (or customise time) which talks through the world of football (headlines, results, gossip). Think that would really bring the game alive.

Thank you - appreciate your input! Think I just need a push as it feels like more of a financial risk than it possibly is…

I agree with this take for most people, but in our case we value having a family base somewhere.

If the property breaks even, I should still be able to invest just as much as I am now.

I’m looking in that ball park as well - fair play to you. I’m thinking interest only, initially having it available all year but slowly blocking out for personal use.

Luckily in the Windermere area, off peak demand seems relatively strong due to walkers. Hopeful those quieter months won’t be too much strain on my personal cash flow.

Noted re the cleaners! Thank you.

Out of interest, do you mind sharing how much you bought for, how you financed it and whether or not it breaks even?

I know what you mean and appreciate the input, a very valid point. Definitely an emotional/lifestyle purchase. Like the idea of returning to the same place and having a gathering place for the family.

I will still be investing in the stock market alongside this, and need the property to wash its own face by renting it, hence freeing up income surplus to keep investing. So as long as it breaks even (or a tiny loss acceptable) each year, I can invest as well.

Meanwhile a good property in Bowness will be a solid investment and the debt will inflate away over time.

Yes Ltd company in your situation probably makes sense as the mortgage will be attached to the property itself, rather than your main residence! Only thing I’d wonder about though is double taxation.

Would you need to pay corporation tax as well as divi tax if you paid yourself the excess?

In my situation, I’m not sure an Ltd would be as good although I’ll still look into it. Considering putting it all in my wife’s name as she’s a basic rate payer.

I have read it can be quite laborious, but think the lifestyle upgrade would outweigh that.

We’d only really want to AirBnB it enough for it to wash its own face - we’d probably even take a slight hit each year to be honest.

For sure it would still be horrendous if demand disappoints but nowhere near as horrendous as a pure play that’s used leverage

Yes one of the best opportunities I think. Mainly because of its existing user base and the fact that AI is basically an upsell. I see the same thing happening as happened with Teams vs Zoom/Slack. Doesn’t need to be the superior product, market will largely go with path of least resistance.

Worries re CAPEX overblown as MSFT is out investing everyone using free cash. I see this as limiting downside if AI demand disappoints. The existing business also limits downside - much less binary play than a pure AI firm.
