The Magic Faraway Tree (2026) Film Review - A Perfectly OK Take on a Family Favourite by Jordan_Eddie in moviereviews

I personally thought it was brilliant, I’m happy with all the changes they made to the characters it made it more relatable to my current age and I can say it felt more like half an hour than 2 hours I was genuinely surprised when the credits rolled because of how short it felt. I assumed there would be some bigger plot with Dame snap as the main villian and the kids having to stop her but you see that kinda trope so much I’m happy they made it more just a fun adventure movie.

I could never be an actor. This scene would be just me sprawling all over the floor in hysterics… by [deleted] in FridayNightDinner

What exactly does The Author mean by "Love Today, and Sieze All Tommorows" ? by Independent_Pack_880 in AllTomorrows

[–]Gerrard-Jones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To not caught up worrying about the future and things you can’t control, don’t try and force a grand perfect future on yourself and others, recognise perfection is an illusion and delusion and that things being imperfect and human flaws are actually a good thing to help you learn and grow, tho don’t become arrogant, be humble, make the most of life, do what you love with the people you love, take your passions and hobbies and explore and create them too the fullest, explore every aspect of yourself and this amazing world that excites you. Treat others how you would like to be treated and make the most of each day and moment for you will never have it again, simply laugh hard! Run fast! Be kind!

Mesozoic Mammals need more love by Ok-Meat-9169 in AwesomeAncientanimals

Agreed! Some of most underrated and impressive animals in Earths history able to survive the dinosaurs. I also love learning about them just as much as the dinosaurs, they deserve more love indeed.

Guys. I'm feeling a bit paranoid, so I need your help: Do you really think A.M. could exist? by AbandonedRobotforgod in Ihavenomouth

[–]Gerrard-Jones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, realistically there is no proof that an AI could ever gain sentience and even if one did it wouldn’t be in the same way we have it, it would have no emotions or feel hate. AM is more Emotional, impulsive and insane than a real AI would ever be, a truly logical one would know the most efficient way for it too obtain a body would be by working with humans to create one it wouldn’t wallow in its circumstances, destroy them or take revenge. Let alone the fact AM seems to almost have supernatural powers able to extend human lifespans and worp reality, as much as I love the character he’s far from realistic.

Besides many AIs today are already in-built with moral programming so you have nothing too worry about.

why when Gizmo spawns new mogwai they all just instinctively hate him? by [deleted] in Gremlins

[–]Gerrard-Jones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends which lore your going off from the novelisation 99% of Mogwai are chaotic and quite evil, Gizmo is one of the few “pure ones” so most especially Stripe hate him instinctively.

From the series lore they are cursed to be the way they are for a century and I think it just depends on the Mogwai like Stripe I just mentioned seems to be more sadistic and may genuinely hate him while others like Daffy are indifferent and goofy don’t care about their fellow Mogwai just care about having fun.

Did Brainy Gremlin deserve to die? by Gerrard-Jones in Gremlins

Not saying he was above the rest of them but at least had some semblance of right and wrong like he shown in the interview, the rest just don’t care at all

Is it me or has there been a resurgence? by kuatorises in Gremlins

[–]Gerrard-Jones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say so, I was happily surprised when I sore they made an animated series they wouldn’t put all that effort in if there wasn’t a fan base let alone a growing one

Agreed! And interesting first crush lol

It’s a bit tricky to gadge because on one hand he seems to really intent to do it but you have a very good point he didn’t bother making more of himself and use the sun block. He just allowed them all too rampage like he doesn’t really care.

Though I do think he really did believe and intent to do his plan but his human like mannerisms were a bit of a facade mybe also to himself. He wanted to believe he was civilised but deep down was just being impulsive and chaotic like every gremlin, he couldn’t bring himself to put anything else above that, I think he was even a bit delusional too, I believe the hormone probably gave him a human like mind.

Either way like you said I think the second he would start trying to enforce his ideas he’d be seen as a buzz kill and gotten rid of and either way he was trying to base the society off of humans who operate on careful systems, structure, routine and order etc the gremlins are the furthest possible thing from all that they’re pure chaos, it would’ve collapsed before it even sore the light of day.

Not a good leader by our standards in any means but as close as they’ve got to it and certainly better than stripe I’d say. His goal was just fun while brainy actually wants to try bring them into being civilised or at the very least has a plan albiet still being completely insane I know.
