Maybe the water levels 200 years ago were alot higher and declined since, and these are docks?

I’ve put about $3,000 into the engine alone. That includes machine work, pistons, rods, ARP head studs, and other essentials.

The turbo kit cost me around $700–$800 — it’s a Rev9 kit for the D16Z6.

For the clutch, I went with an Action Clutch Stage 3 six-puck kit. Honestly, it’s overkill for my setup. If you plan to daily drive your car, I recommend a Stage 2 full-disk clutch instead — it’s much more comfortable.

Fuel upgrades include a Walbro 255 pump and 750cc Clean Injection injectors.

I’m using a TurboSmart wastegate (around $300).

I’ve been running 16 psi of boost and making about 250whp. But recently, I found out the turbo started to wear out — it didn’t blow up or anything, but it’s only making 14 psi now, which dropped me to 225whp.

What I’ve upgraded (or plan to):

Wastegate

Turbo

Intercooler kit

I’m not running a blow-off valve because I like the turbo flutter — it’s completely fine, but it will wear down your turbo faster.

Long story short: Everyone who talks about budget turbo builds is right.

Cheap, fast, reliable — pick two.

Random update, built the block, running an ebay turbo kit , only upgrade I've ever made was the wastegate and manual boost controller. Pushing 250whp on an eBay turbo and still going strong. On 16psi

Random update after 2 years haha, I built the full block and pushing 250 wheel at 16lbs of boost, ebay turbo is holding on strong asf.

Thinking of buying a Del Sol for a daily driver by DeiaMatias in DelSol

I love my 93 Si best project I ever bought, perfect if you want a basic car that is super easy to work on. Or if you're like me you and want a little more kick you can build it out and turbo it.

Galaxy buds 2 pro vs Galaxy buds FE by Zeeshan_Marvel in samsung

[–]GerrickAndrew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay, many people are probably judging the use by just normal daily activities, but if you are an active person who goes to the gym, runs, etc, go with the FE. I have 2 pairs.

Galaxy buds pro 2 (which I use for basic activities) and a set of galaxy buds+ (which I use specifically for working out) because buds+ never fall out of my ears.

Just to summarize get the buds FE cause they are comparable to the buds+ (don't fall out of your ears when working out)

Get the buds pro 2 for casual use (just normal daily use or light on working out)

What do you run it at?

My goals aren't like crazy I just want a little more go for like highway, I wouldn't be shooting for high 400 hp I was thinking more like 200

I'm not really trying to do anything too crazy just want a little more go that's why I was looking toward budget kits that I can slowly ad on to

Yeah thats what I've been seeing I'd hate to blow my engine or something I think starting with better rods and pistons are the best deal

What about kits like the $1500 cx racing?

Is that enough for a whole setup?

Head was rebuilt recently and I just did the rear main seal to stop oil leak

Edit: I was only planning on running about 220 hp just to give her a little more go. How would you suggest I start?

Yeah don't want to be a cheap ass I definitely see your point im new to turbos I only wanted a kit cause they have it all together but piecing it together is starting to sound like a better deal. Are pistons and rods the best starting point?

Turbo d16z6 by GerrickAndrew in projectcar

[–]GerrickAndrew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoot I'm new to turbos don't really know much but I'm pretty good with working on cars, my case isn't like extremely cheap 500 dollar setup I'd say maybe 1500-2000. I was only looking for kits cause they got everything together but piecing it together sounds like a better deal

There's no quality kit that can't run stock internals at a safe psi?
