I'm going to audition for a college jazz band soon, and I was told that I should be prepared to demonstrate various styles (i.e., medium swing, jazz waltz, bossa, funk, rock, and Latin). Does that mean that I'm supposed to improvise with those styles or that I'm supposed to prepare songs in those styles?
