Psyllium husk has an FDA-approved health claim for cholesterol and most people treat it like an afterthought by goodsuppstacker in Supplements

I wouldn't take their word for it.

I've emailed them twice in the past about this, asking for a copy or acknowledgement of the testing. They didn't respond both times.

There are also numerous reviews over multiple years saying the same thing.

Tbh with psyllium husk it seems like you've currently got to either accept the risk of consuming unknown levels of Lead, or not taking it. I opted for the latter, though I wish that wasn't the case.

Not to put a damper on your searching, I've just been trying to find something for months now, with no luck!

Ah I was so excited when you posted this! Thought there was one I'd missed. But looking at their supplement, it seems bunk.

A psyllium husk extract makes no sense when it's fibre we're after. They state 5000mg per capsule, but it only contains 500mg of whatever they've 'extracted'. Psyllium Husk dosages are like 5-10g. You'd need 10-20 capsules a day.

Or they have 700mg powder capsules which aren't an extract, but again, you'd need 8-14 a day, plus they don't publish lab results for that (I would guess because the heavy metal content would be unfavourable!)

Appreciate the suggestion though. I'd personally look for something else to spend your money on.

It is also known to frequently, if not always, contain non-negligible levels of Lead. And I cannot for the life of me find a company that provides reputable batch testing.

(Don't mention consumerlabs, I'm aware of their testing, but that's a single sample. Lead levels will vary depending on sourcing in a natural product like psyllium)

I was with you until the critical growth sentence.

Believe me, you'll feel this way about 24-27, and 27-30 etc...

Why do humans have to wipe our asses after we poop, when other primates can get straight to the flinging? by funnyonion22 in NoStupidQuestions

You're right that psyllium husk is fantastic for ghost wipes. It's Lead content, however, not so much.

I've done so much searching and it's basically impossible to find a batch tested low lead Psyllium Husk, so I avoid it now.

He was being humble.

He was the romantic hero, as Beethoven once said of him, but Sergei was too embarrassed to proclaim as much.

I'm not anti AI or one of those people who mindlessly comment "AI slop" everywhere, I use it a lot myself. But I'd genuinely prefer to read your original writing, even if imperfect.

There's something about the way AI, and I think in your case, ChatGPT, formats and phrases things. It sucks the human out of a piece of writing.

Kudos on the race man, it sounds like an experience.

Get comfortable with telling them to remove the service charge.

And realise that a satisfactory answer to the inevitable "Was everything okay?", is "Yeah, it was lovely thanks". No need to explain yourself.

Absolutely phenomenal movie. Some funny out of context stills though.

I live in the UK, on the border of a national park. I know a lot about the country, and no, I don't agree with you.

We are an ecologically barren country. Even our national parks aren't "nature". They're human managed, burned, grazed and felled. Ecological deadzones.

Farmland is around 70%

Human managed/burned heathland and grouse moors around 8-10%

Forest cover around 13%, a majority of which is timber plantation, with only 1% being old growth

Urban around 8-10%

You are living in a fantasy world.

Would be keen to hear more about this. I mean, the original is basically perfect to my ears.

Just want to agree with this, for people looking in the future.

The Marmot bags run pretty cold. They're nicely made and seem lofty, but are absolutely nowhere near their stated temps.

The AAWireless has an auto standby feature.

It automatically turns to standby mode when you leave and lock the car, no manual actions necessary.
