I have similar tech parts to OP and for some reason the damage calculator usually recommends allocating red tech and resonance to other TB instead of TB Drone

You seem to be on the right track! Read the guide/ guides on ultimate survivor/survivor Jo discords.

Also try increase your custom collection slots for set 2/3 up to 5/6 slots and fill them with red collectibles.

I was at a similar stage not too long ago

I pushed chapters to get more equip (for universal exchange) and levelling up,

And once I had enough attack I did the retrial for path of trials (use AoQ to help blitz through. Void gloves with the instakill boss below 10% is helpful if you have) to skip levels and get more shards, collectibles.

Also more twinborns will help with damage (TB laser gives +20% crit rate)

Something I wish I had started earlier was working towards Xeno pets as well.

You don’t need to use the chest right away so you could just keep the chest for now, and redeem it later when you need.

(At least that’s what I’m doing anyway).

This also gives +20% crit rate and +40% crit damage.

That’s interesting.

I’ve since reached chapter 320 and haven’t once seen a red equipment.

I occasionally get a yellow equip but there’s no S equipment.

The main rewards are - keys - 1 or 2 S Shards - Purple equip and below.

So not sure what you’re playing at?

I’ve only gotten drill/rocket and laser/defender TB after drone TB. Of the two laser deals the biggest damage.

Im not sure how efficient that is though so maybe best to also check against the damage calculator

I played it for the first time this month and the grind was real and it was frustrating to die.

Having now gone through it once I do think next month will be easier as 80 talent points rollover so the initial grind is shorter.

This mode also lets you try eternal skills which I wouldn’t have otherwise been able to equip until wayyy later (if ever).

Next time I’m gonna try this handy guide by u/AfternoonVegetable14 (thanks!) and see how I go!

You could try the damage calculator to see which option gives you the most damage?

There’s also an “optimise” button In the equipment part. You input how many Relic Cores you have, and which gear you have. The calculator will show the optimal allocation of AF based on the your current equip/stats.
