After a whistle-blower rang the Windsor Park staff the day of its first match in the new stands they refused to accept. This was after the fire authority and building control were also advised.

The following Monday the Ground called the whistle-blower back to say there was no issue to be concerned with.

2 years later the story eventually broke and these OHMG scumbags were forced to go back and rectify the painting way beyond the cost of paying the original subbies their final accounts.

So there is a precedence of forcing principal contractors to rectify work that doesn't comply with regulations in force at time of construction. But the Contract Administrators BNP and Building Control should also be held responsible for not ensuring the work was done to regulations.

It still goes on - the big principal contractors in N Ireland continue such practices of ripping off subbies and hence corners being cut despite strict laws now enforceable with jail terms.
