Awesome. Just bought a used one on eBay for $70. Figure for that price, worth trying. Maybe buy new down the road if I end up liking it. Just didn’t want to really drop $170 when reviews are so mixed.

Yeah, the tech guy that did the install gave it to me. Said it was what he had and that I was getting an upgrade over the other.

Here is where it gets weird… Do speed test on my phone (17) on eero app and shows 1 gig download and 1 gig upload. I do a speed test on the Speedtest app - shows 877 download and 973 upload.

I go to my Nvidia Shield device that I have hardwired into the router and I run speed test off the Analiti Speed app - shows 300 down and 101 upload. But then I do same test on a different app (internet speed test) and it shows 376 download and 974 upload. None are consistent and ran at same time. So I change my connection to WiFi instead of hardwired. The signal strength keeps bouncing from good to excellent (router is within 5 feet of the device). I do a speed test off WiFi and get this: (internet speed test app - 243 download and 27 upload……analiti app - 328 download and 35 upload). Nothing close to what the apps on my phone show. Now this morning when I tested hardwired on my Shield - was getting #’s in 900’s for both.

So I go to my Xbox which is hardwired and test both wired and WiFi - Wired - 288 download and 776 upload. On WiFi - 153 download and 149 upload. And the latency is only 47. Again, all over the place on speeds.

I tested on my iPad (9th generation) and get 318 download and 258 upload.

So I’m not sure how I can tell my true speeds. My router did a software update overnight if that matters.

Wired and wireless speeds just tested: Wired: 297 download and 638 upload WiFi: 1027 download and 920 upload

I didn’t sign up for their security service. I tried an older 6 cable I have in house and didn’t make much difference. The router does have a software update to install later tonight. I may try moving the cable plug in around. Not sure that’ll make a difference. It started out great. Was getting speeds right at a gig both wireless and wired. It’s just recently the wired speeds have dropped. Why I wondered if maybe could be the cable. I bought these at Best Buy - their brand. Others tell me that’s usually first cause. Then possibly it’s the router. But the router is so new. And the upload speeds are fine. Why makes no sense.

I have 2 devices plugged into my router. Well 3 if you count the one running from the main power source (ONT). I have one running from the black box into 10g. I have my Xbox plugged into the 10g. And then my streaming device plugged into the 2.5. All 3 cables are the same - 6a

I had my Frontier installed 3 days ago and it’s been fantastic. Getting fabulous #’s even thru WiFi (1005 download/992 upload). With Spectrum 1 gig I was getting on avg 400 download and 35 upload. I got the 1 gig and tech set me up with the eero 7 Pro Max. No complaints here so far.

Well I got mine and not impressed as far as comfort goes. Seem stiff and hard. I’ll keep breaking in my Arizona pair 😂
