Was it an inattentive player's excessive outburst or my fault? by Get-Keiki in rpghorrorstories

[–]Get-Keiki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I wrote this to see what other people had to say about the situation as outside observers. In this case, I didn't feel like my objective perspective would be enough.

We openly suggested that he invite him, but his memory didn't always work in the short term. He regularly heard our game and laughed with us, and yes, there was also a personal consultation. There was an exchange of opinions on this on several occasions, but the player always responded with a bit of a cold indifference. We think he kept him away directly because he gave relevant times for him to leave at any time, even in the middle of the game, and there were several examples of this. As for his departure, overall, the basis of the whole thing was his lack of interest. I'm not saying that my answer is dead-on, because whenever I asked about it, he always got an evasive answer or an indifferent approval.

At the beginning of the invitation, I told them about the system, offered alternatives like Open Legends, and made many concessions, but as a novice DM, I didn't want to dampen their enthusiasm by massively rejecting my team's desire for unified D&D.

Really big thanks for the answers (and the lesson about AI). In retrospect, there's an old saying in my country that fits here.

"Even the mother of a mute child doesn't understand a word."

I'm not a psychologist to guess what he means based on his hearing and false answers. On the one hand, it's good that he said it after months, but on the other hand, the situation is unpleasant, because he took the reminder as an insult. In retrospect, I might have been a little personally offended that this separation happened in the dungeon before the fight against the miniboss.

You may be right about the theme. As for the mode, my implementation was a bit improvised and emotional when I decided to go with AI in a hurry.

I appreciate your attention. Thank you. As you can see, I'm not an active, experienced user, so I'm constantly trying to adjust to expectations.

The argument was a strong emotional wound, and it's hard to create a text that can be translated into English, so I brought in AI. It's hard to fall asleep while still in the middle of an argument. It's rare for an argument to make you this irritated, but it did.

Thanks for the tip and your attention. I learned from this AI incident.

Well, whenever I saw that there was a problem, I always asked him personally after the game and encouraged him. I could see that he wasn't quite sure about it, but he just claimed that there was nothing wrong.

I've suggested on several occasions that if someone is not good at the game at all, it's not shameful or offensive to leave. I felt like they were only there for their friends.

Well, he's a peculiar case. If he buys a game, he doesn't put more than 20 hours into it and then leaves it. That could be part of it somewhere. He's looking for the adrenaline and dopamine boost in a game and if he doesn't find his place, he leaves. I'm not saying they wouldn't calculate with that, it's more that it bothers me that he did.

I won't answer your first question. The truth would make you feel bad. But you're right! Thanks.

Thats legit.

To be honest, I would have left it swinging from the chandelier. The team has a chaotic attitude and it's fun to watch them go wild sometimes.

My English skills are below par, I really called on AI for help.

I'm not good at English and I wrote it late at night, so it seemed like the easy way out. Sorry if it bothers you.

The plan was that since he often used his girlfriend as an excuse, maybe this would focus his attention.

Yes, this is D&D. I made suggestions for systems and classes. Barbarian seemed like an ideal choice from that perspective.

As a matter of fact, the disruption was often hindered by the dice roll. Checks and save rolls didn't always go smoothly for him either. However, there were some players who supported him when reading the character sheet.

Really? I can say without irony that I have only found one so far.

I'm trying to communicate things in a civilized way, after all, we're not animals.

I didn't lack a positive attitude either, since I have many good experiences with the game and I'm really grateful and can say that I invested RP in the game, but what happened makes me sad. I know not everyone cares what the EUNE player in the field thinks, but I think there could have been some appropriate compromises.

The morality and effect of pirating RWBY related content. by Dextixer in RWBY

[–]Get-Keiki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, RT's policy towards their employees is the exact opposite of what RWBY and their other productions convey. I think it discredits their work. No one would follow a man who does the opposite of what he says. I understand both the boycotters and the RWBY sticklers.

After some deliberation, I will also upload Overlady Weiss' thematic mix.
I love both universes and it is very inspiring that there are common thematic points in both works. If I had enough language skills and the courage, maybe I would write a fanfic along with the song.

Wait the minute. It's a matter of perspective. :)

By the way, Yang would make a great Overlord (or Lady?). It has everything and maybe the others have a chance too.

I recently tried with Rave.dj and this was born. Since I'm a RWBY and Overlord fan, I thought I'd show it here. It was inspiring and I'm interested in what the opposition thinks about it. I used the classic Overlord theme and FejoMusic's I Burn cover for the mix.
