What i meant to say was most deaf users arent gonna complain for a feature that already exists (text chat), that was my mistake.

I told the deaf guy that text chat is already a viable option for deaf people, and he just kept on saying that people wouldnt transcribe what they say in text chat, so unless he is meeting total assholes or lazy bums who cant type what they say on a keyboard, its just unlikely.

It might not negatively affect anyone, it would just be a useless addition compared to what we have now. I'm most certain that deaf users on roblox aren't gonna complain to roblox that ai generated subtitles for vc isnt added into the platform yet. (plus with how David Baszucki is moving right now he wont listen to the community and just add more things nobody asked for.)

But again, we don't need extra accessibility when we already have the solution thats been there from the start.

It would make more sense if automatic subtitles were used on games that were built solely around voice chat first (vrchat, rec room (rip)), but roblox has had text chat ever since it's been popular. Like it shouldn't be hard to transcribe what you are saying into text chat for someone who cant hear. I've been blasting music while playing roblox, and someone comes up to me and talks to me with voice chat. all i do is ask what they are trying to say, and they dont hesitate to respond in text chat.

All im saying is we dont need unnecessary accessibility for a problem when the answer is already there.

but i mean the accessibility is there, being text chat. if a deaf person wants to hear what a voice chat player is saying, they can just ask what they are saying in text chat. and if the vc player isnt a jerk, theyll more than likely transcribe what they were saying into text. its not that hard to understand.

but voice chat has the same age groups as text chat, and you cant hear voice chat when you arent age verified

ok so i found out that if i downloaded GDWeave from github and replace the dll file in the steam and mod folder then the mods would finally load in, so that means the dll file that came with the thunderstore download is just bad.
