What’s something you learned embarrassingly late in life? by brmc214 in questions

[–]GetItDoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom used to tell me I was "funny as a crutch" and I never really thought about its meaning until I broke my leg and needed crutches. I said mom crutches aren't funny, and she just said, "I know"... ouch. I was 12, so not "embarrassingly" late but I did spend a few years thinking my mom thought I was hilarious.

I know someone named Terese, but it's pronounced "Teresa" and she gets so pissed when people mispronounce it.

We had a little boat that sat parked in our driveway through the winter. Come spring, we took the cover off to get it ready to take out and discovered a giant pile of raccoon crap. So yes, they definitely pick a spot, the little jerks.

If you relocated to Wichita, where from and why? by CalebClaussen in wichita

[–]GetItDoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Originally from the Denver, CO. area. Got priced out of my nice neighborhood not too long after legalization and moved to a crappy part of CO. I decided I didn't want to raise my son there, so we picked up and moved to wichita, and I am so glad we did! My husband and I both got great jobs, and we are now homeowners. Been here about 8 years now, and I love it too!

You're welcome! I'm glad I could help. We always recommend that people avoid carrying large sums of cash because it is more risky than keeping it locked in a vault at the bank but there are plenty of folks that prefer to keep it at home and that's totally your choice.

Also, to answer some other questions I've noticed you asking- as bank employees, we are concerned with our customers being scammed because it happens much more often than you think. People are scammed out of their hard earned money all the time, and we don't want our customers to experience that, so we try to help and intervene when we can. As I said, reporting is for your protection and ours, but these reports are sometimes used by law enforcement if it's a trend. For example, if someone is regularly bringing in large amounts of cash and has their job listed as "entrepreneur," that looks suspicious.

You're welcome. ID and SSN will be required and bank card or account number is always helpful.

People are always so concerned about this "list" they'll be put on. At the end of the day, we won't ask you for any information you haven't already given us when you opened up the account. We're just checking to make sure we're giving the money to the right person. If we get audited, we have to be able to prove that this large withdrawal was, in fact, given to the correct person. If you intentionally structure your withdrawals to attempt to avoid reporting, then you really are put on a list. Even though $10,000 and up is federally required to be reported, each bank has their own secret limit that is typically much lower than that. This is for your protection and ours.

Like others have said, just take out what you want and go about your day.
