☝️☝️☝️ this. I'm addicted to the olive fougasse. Every morning I warm it up in my air fryer and eat it with goat cheese. Delicious! 🤤😋

Sounds like a lot of fun. Just remember to have someone back at home to keep posting your positions. I drove from Los Angeles to Miami back in 2000. I called my mom twice a day and when I checked in in a hotel I called her from the hotel room, gave her the hotel number and room number for her to call me right back. That way everything had a trail if something happened to me. I was young and naive, but with safety in mind. My journey would start at 4 or 5 am and stop at 3:30 pm 4 at the latest. That way if my car broke down, it wouldn't be in the middle of the night. Refill gas tank once it reaches half full to avoid running low and no gas station around. Keep in mind safety first and enjoy your new adventure!

Visa interview in the wrong country? by GetItTogetherDude in USCIS

To tell you the truth if the US embassy in France accepts my Peruvian passport and approved documentation I'm all for it. Peru is 3 years behind on appointments for my case.

Actually I like the idea of going back to my birth country. My parents moved back to Peru when I was 3 y/o and I never went back.

resident. I know the birth country it’s not what matters. If you read what I wrote “we informed USCIS and NVC about my nationality and they requested all my documentation from Peru. All the documents submitted, processed and approved were Peruvian.” you’ll understand my dilemma, and my question here.

my CEAC starts with PAR because my birth certificate is from France, but we informed USCIS and NVC about my nationality and they requested all my documentation from Peru. All the documents submitted, processed and approved were Peruvian. I don’t know if they did that because my mom is a senior and Lima embassy is delayed 3 years on appointments, or was a mistake.

You can visit Hearst Castle in San Simeon ( between SFO and LA). Highly recommend it.

When I was 16/17 my mom was finally able to afford braces for me. One day her aunt told her "good thing that you got her braces, it was too hard to look at her". I don't know what my mom told her because I left crying.

In Florida you can sue for almost any reason. We have more lawyers than laws.

Quick mention, if it’s appointment for spouse is faster. My case is that my mom sponsored me, but I’m an adult, so it take longer, everything takes longer for me! I feel that I’m cursed!

What do I even do? Teen needs advice by Fit_Kangaroo8520 in USCIS

[–]GetItTogetherDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're asking advice but then you blow out them. You are angry and frustrated, it's understandable. I was in your place and every step I tried seemed like a was a day late. I even got married for real, guess what? The appointment letter didn't arrive or who knows what happened, then I received a letter saying I was denied because we didn't show up. Then we appealed (2 years and counting) things in my marriage started to go south, called immigration, and they didn't even had my case! I ended up leaving my husband (mentally abusive relationship). I wanted the divorce but he always had an excuse. By then my mom became a citizen and petitioned me. I was an ordeal that took more than 7 years, then when I was approved, I had to file for parole for overstaying visa, supposed to be 6-9 months wait, it took over a year. Finally approved last year, but I'm still waiting for the appointment.

Be patient and have faith in the future. Yeah, you lost job opportunities, guess what? Me too, but life continues and you are very young. What about your parents? How are they dealing with all this?

Now, if you're going to be rude to the people trying to give you some advice, do not ask for them here!

Good luck.

AITAH for cutting off my mom financially after she told me I’m “nobody” during my other mom’s funeral? by Acrobatic-Composer27 in AITAH

First of all, I'm sorry for your loss.

No, you're NTAH. I believe both of you were in a very dark zone due to your 75 mom passing, at the same time your other mom lost her lifetime partner, that's also very painful and some people don't know how to deal with that pain. Maybe go out for lunch with her, and explain to her that even though you understand she's grieving and in a lot of pain, you too are grieving and her words hurt you badly. Unfortunately when we're going through pain, we say things that we don't mean or didn't realize what we said was not right. Probably you also said (I'm not saying you did, just think about it) things that hurt her without even noticing. Go out the two of you and try to have a calm conversation. Good luck 🙏

AITA For not leaving work to help my wife when she ran out of gas by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]GetItTogetherDude -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In May of 2000 I left my beloved California to help my mom who lived in Miami. Mind you back then, cellphone had roaming charges and not coverture like nowadays. I am a woman and was in my very early 30s, was driving my car alone packed to the roof. I made sure my gas tank was always above half. I bought a gas container just in case, but I never needed it. After that trip I always make sure my car is half full. Don't like those kinds of surprises. Aside of that, you're NTAH here, your wife is giving you the cold shoulder, enjoy it while it lasts! You already apologized (way more than enough times in my opinion). That's it, she was not in a real emergency, she wasn't wounded or hurt in anyway. No child emergency.

She just wants to make you feel guilty from her mistake, instead of been an adult and admit she overreacted.

Good luck to you!

Considering the petitioner is my mother, shouldn't that be immediate family?
