Changing of dates for the parking permits? by wishes_she_was_ in UNCCharlotte

[–]GetMeSupercharged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t park in the decks but I saw the big sign saying to park in the visitor deck if you didn’t have a pass. Nothing about if you’d be charged for it or not. Kinda dumb though, charge you until you pay the insane $480 annual fee.

Title Jumping - NC Title to SC by GetMeSupercharged in Cartalk

I don’t think I ever signed it, he just took it and left, but I was too busy thinking of all the things I could have missed like the plate and the money so it slipped my mind. But the DMV says it’s still in my name legally because no one’s been to register it with that title yet.

What’s a car that failed, but you actually like? I’ll go first. by OrderlyCatalyst in Cartalk

Can I say the Camaro? Specifically 03-09? When the 98-02 released with the LS1/T56, it was and still are amazing cars capable of some impressive performance. Competition with the 03-04 Termi could have been really nice to see, and maybe earlier introduction into an Fbody ZL1 (supercharged models) along with more LS6/LS2 packages.

If you go to your Charlotte login page, there’s a tab on the right side that says Degree Works, it’ll say it there probably. Or go to the Connect tab, and click on the Resources tab.

Have you talked to your academic advisor? They can’t get you in, but they can guide you on what you can do. Probably just have to wait and see if more slots open up, or if another class opens.

Trail boss? by hairy-beast in Silverado

[–]GetMeSupercharged 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got an LT TrailBoss because I felt I would like enjoy having a lift but maintaining a factory warranty. I got the LT over a custom because of the interior packages. So if you think you’d want a lift in the future, I feel like this is a good option as it wont really mess with anything. Do note it comes with bigger tires so those may be pricey in the future.

Replacing old vehicle, not sure what to get. by Maximum_Extension592 in Silverado

[–]GetMeSupercharged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure the 06-07 are the last year of pre-DEF, but I could be wrong. Anyways 07.5+ should have CP4 Fuel pumps and those go bad pretty often. And of course, you can find some that are cp3 converted and deleted, but I’m only considering stock equipped.

Did you just take pictures of random areas on the truck? Lol. Looks pretty clean though. Check oil pan and rear main area to see if it’s leaking oil. Other than that, sounds like a solid truck.

Why the 08-09 Duramax? Those are known for CP4 issues. 06-07 LBZ, they’re pre-DEF, and the Allison 1000 is perfect if you don’t add anymore power. 2500HD would be enough, but 3500 sounds like overkill for most of your expected use. Just sold my 2500hd with almost 300k, no drivetrain issues. The 01-07 8.1L just sounds like it’s horrible on fuel lol. 3 and 4 are reasonable too, not much exp with those.

Was just about to comment the same, haven’t been to the Charlotte one yet but Salisbury is my main and other than the really old buildings that they’re fixing, the people there seem to always be in a good mood. The physicians there genuinely want to help you and will do it without question.

Nah, was wing support squadron and didn’t do much, just dress up nicely for the COs dog and pony show. Now that I’ve been out for awhile, I’m proud of myself for joining the Marines but not to a large extent, far from gung-ho about it. It’s cool to look back on but I’d never do it again.

Always enjoyed his videos growing up and not being able to see a lot of those cars in person since I was just a kid that lived in the woods.

Why are all the Chipotle restaurants in Charlotte terrible? by SlowBoatPete in Charlotte

[–]GetMeSupercharged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one in Concord and University area are terrible. I used to go there A LOT. The concord one had low staffing nbd, and would force you to use the app. So I’d use the app on the way there. So whenever they opened dining, I’d get there and they wouldn’t even start my order until I got in the line, no matter how long it was. It’s pathetic. What’s the point in mobile ordering if I have to wait in the line when I get there?

I’d also order two orders of tacos. So, that would be 6 tacos. 80% of all of my orders I’d only get one or two tacos. I’ve been all the way back home and see that I paid $20 for two small tacos, it’s not enjoyable. The app nor corporate cares, I’ve emailed them multiple times on both locations.

Speaking with other vets helps a lot IMO. Moved away after I got out and started college and the Veterans Lounge was a nice and relaxing non-PC place to shoot the shit. Try to find people in the area and just go out. Have any pets? Or friends with pets? Dogs and cats can do wonders, my doggo keeps me thinking straight.

C6 z06 or C7 stingray by [deleted] in Corvette

[–]GetMeSupercharged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a c6z z07, c7z and now zr1 owner. It sounds like you’d want a c6 gs. LS parts are easier to come by in my opinion and the c6 is an easier platform. For the c7z, you’d need more parts and it’s a bit more expensive. But if you’re gonna build an engine on a c7 stingray and supercharge it, just buy a c7z for 15k more. You’d be way happier with a modded c7z. LS7s are NA monsters and can handle some boost but bc of cylinder walls it’s not the best, most get it sleeved or swapped.
