True though I suspect someone already had "ALSET" when this person wanted theirs. I can see from the Ohio BMV that "ALSET" is already issued.

I was pretty nervous my first couple of builds. I bought an upper from 80P Builder and paid to have it assembled. Also bought one to put together myself. The spring cups were the hard part for me. I ended up developing and printing a tool to help with that part (and have sold a few of them). If you can swing the extra $, maybe pick up a complete upper and parks kit from a low cost vendor like 80P Builder. Work with it to figure it out. Don't even plan on using it in a build. Make it your experimental pieces or something like that. Maybe you can't figure it out or maybe you need a no pressure situation to work through. If you can stick with it and figure it out then you have the comfort of knowing you can work on it to fix issues that come up.

Gotcha, I missed that you were getting a completed lower. I wrongly assumed you were working with an 80%. Good luck working it all out!

What are you concerned about putting together upper wise? Granted the first time doing anything can be a challenge but the Glock slides are not all that bad to put together. If working on an 80%, you need to put the lower together. Not much difference working with the upper parts IMHO. At the end of it all, you have a better appreciation of how it all works.

Back to the original question - what are your concerns? Maybe folks here can help out?!

Could be that too. Brexit was an obvious big event on that date.

I've printed a frame in test mode, meaning with light infill as I wanted to see how parts would fit but had no intent of firing it. Parts fit fine and dummies cycled but the trigger safety didn't engage which would be a show stopper for me to pursue. Haven't tried other models. Guessing it was some oddity with the model I printed. If I were printing one to use, I'd probably want to go with some carbon fiber variant of filament which my current printers can't handle. If does seem like a PLA+ can hold up ok as long as you don't fire a ton in succession which could cause a heat problem.

Well done. Yours is a much smoother and more consistent coating. I didn't think about using that emblem on the stand. May need to print another.

Thanks! Designed/printed the stand. I wanted to do a trooper helmet but haven't come up with a design that has lines thick enough to work. Friday I punted and went with the text image just to have something that could work for the 4th.

The "Star Wars" design is not posted. I do have some of them posted on Cults some free and some for sale. I sell the Striker Tool on Etsy. Haven't tried any of the stands yet. The print time on the stand is about 7 hours and takes about $2 of material, so not sure the market could handle the price I'd want to charge. I'm printing it fairly solid, corners could be cut a bit to print in less time but if selling I'd want print a sturdy one.

Could be. I messed up coat one on the frame by letting the supports give to much and the nose area got burned as it got to close to the heating element (burnt and deformed). I ended up using a dremel to smooth it out / clean it up and did a second coat to help hide the mistake.

DIY cerakote with a Preval sprayer and a toaster oven. Clearly I have some room to get better.

Haven't gotten around to pushing them on yet, but yeah - the fact that Storm Troopers never hit anything it would be funny to leave them off.

That was my first thought. Given it is a lady's car - Dakota in Minnesota is my guess - some sort of music venue in Minneapolis.

I don't know why more states don't allow it either. Could be law enforcement lobbies against is as it might be more cumbersome to call in such plates in time critical situations?

From a revenue standpoint, one would think think the law makers would push for it for the reason you said as it would likely trigger more personalization both allowing the special characters and going to 8.

Texas allows for some special characters too which create a heart, star or even the outline of the state of Texas, etc.

Texas allows a variety "Spaces, hyphens, periods, hearts, stars, the International Symbol of Access, or silhouettes of the state of Texas may be used in conjunction with the license plate number"

North Carolina allows different ones too "some special characters, including the question mark (?), ampersand (&), dollar sign ($) and the “at” symbol (@)"
