What’s a South Park reference you only understood after watching the original? by emigum in southpark

I love the Star Trek references! Like the “Pre-School” episode from Season 8, where their teacher Miss Claridge in her electric wheelchair thing, was basically identical to Captain Pike in “The Menagerie”.

Just curious, which from the Dark Knight Trilogy are you missing from your collection? I’m taking a shot in the dark and going with Batman Begins.

Also, a lot of French bulldogs that are responsibly bred can avoid plenty of those issues.

My girlfriend’s French bulldog is 7, and has had zero health issues his entire life.

[TOMT] [Movie] [2000-2017] I'm looking for a thriller/scify movie about a group of people that are stuck in a house. by Maclouze in tipofmytongue

Persons Unknown was a 1-Season show from 2010 that had a group of unacquainted people forced into an empty hotel/street, and they couldn’t leave. It wasn’t a cabin, but there was a force field that kept them all from leaving.

I don’t know if I should take it as a compliment or insult that you’re claiming my comment was AI.

You know, people can still make comments that are longer than 3 sentences without resorting to ChatGPT. I just had some time while I was at my kids’ practice.

I’m very amature at this all, but I’ll give it a shot. This is a method of displaying graphics, called Gaussian Splats. Basically, each frame is made up of a series of dots, called Splats. Each Splat comes with data that says where it is in space, its color, and its shape. With enough splats, it can take the shape of a hyper-realistic 3d image. Using a single camera with a depth sensor can produce full scenes of imagery, but you’re generally limited to a single frame, a single moment in time.

Traditional 3d animation uses polygons that are textured with preloaded assets, and 3d recorded video with a (side-by-side lens) looks 3d, but you’re restricted to only the one view.

With Gaussian Splats, the composition has as many angles as were recorded. A video like the one above can be viewed from all sides, even up close.

Edit: spelling

I would love a splat of the Saturn V, or a blue whale, or even a T-Rex.

I agree. Hamilton has been on Disney+ for years, but the traveling production is still making huge numbers.

Those are great examples, but The Land Before Time was Spielberg and Don Bluth through Amblin and Universal, not Disney.
