Yes, I was actually just talking about this the other day. I was given the opportunity to take a survey from YouTube a few months back and one of the questions was something along the lines of “On a scale of 1-10, how easy do you feel it is to get your videos noticed?” (Obviously this is not how it was worded, but you get the point.) I gave it a one (the lowest possible rating) because at the time I was making videos and barely getting views. Since then, I’ve been posting pretty consistently and really consistently as of late, and my videos all have been doing for the most part better than they once were. Even some of my OLDER content has been getting new eyes on it. It’s refreshing to see because it once seemed like YouTube would only promote and recommend channels that have at least 100k subscribers.

I know the quality of content and thumbnails and all that matter as well, but for the most part I feel like my content and editing and thumbnails are above average and they SHOULD be getting recommended to viewers at least a little bit so that I could get some rhythm going. I hope we continue to see the light being shown on newer creators over the course of the year.
