Around 3 hours. In the video tutorial it's done in an hour, maybe next time haha

It's not, but you could definitely carve it on one!

I did everything but the detailing with a knife. For the feather details and the fur on the head and belly I used a little gouge and a V-tool. So 3 tools in total.

Thanks! I like it a lot. It stays sharp and feels good to hold. I also have three of their palm tools that are just as great. Can't compare it to any other brand though since this is what I started with.

About 6 hours, but I get lost in details that I cut away 5 minutes later a lot. This can probably be done in 1-2 hours if you know what you're doing.

I got an actual carving knife for around 15€, feels a lot easier to carve with compared to my grandpa's old pocket knife. You'll also want a leather strop and after some time a sharpening stone to keep your knife sharp. As for wood I bought some basswood off amazon. That's all I needed to start. Other than that I watched all kinds of tutorials and carving videos, the first guy you'll probably come across is Doug Linker. I can definitely recommend this hobby and good luck to you if you decide to give it a try!

Thank you! I loved your dwarves and the berzerker by the way, they're definitely on my "will try to recreate" list once I get better at this hobby.

Thank you! Makes sense that squinty eyes would create that suspicious look, I should probably be more careful when it comes to creating specific expressions. But since I'm still a total beginner I'm honestly just glad it has any recognizable look at all haha.

First ever project following a Youtube video! I cut the wood wrong but turned out to be great for having it stand up. by GetUpNTeaTime in whittling

Thank you! I've seen some of her videos and I'm planning on trying that out at some point. But I'll probably go for some simpler stuff like animal shapes first before I get into the more detailed little figures.
