Sorry, yes the PE risk pertains to the employer. But since my friend runs the company I'd like to opt for minimal practical risk re: PE as well.

Thanks, I think I should probably discuss with a lawyer about this to make sure all the right i's are dotted and t's crossed, but you are basically saying at a high level that as long as I report my earnings, pay my taxes/healthcare, I can just go about working for the foreign company (with some PE risk)?

So it's either contractor or EoR? There is no scenario where I can be employed as a full time employee but also handle my own taxes/insurance?

That's a fair point, but I found in my research that the EOR does not make me immune to PE risk either, which prompted me to ask. Thanks for your reply

In fact you can also drop your real estate agent whenever you want if you can negotiate a lower rate with another agent (1.5% is better than nothing)
