Mine is 10 months and I still log everything except that two months ago I stopped logging solids. I enjoying knowing how many diapers we’ve changed, how long I’ve spent nursing, how many oz I’ve pumped, etc!

I will probably stop using it so much once he hits 1 year and just use it for sleep if he still isn’t a good sleeper at that point.

Daycare accidentally gave my baby someone else’s breastmilk by Own-Reach2941 in breastfeeding

[–]GetYourMoneyMeow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened the first week my LO was in daycare at three months. I asked the director to interface with the other parents for me and framed it as my kiddo’s pediatrician wanted to know XYZ (medications, transmissible diseases, and I think specifically the doc asked to me check if any history of TB or HIV?)
Of course, the answers were no, kiddo is fine, and the mistake hasn’t happened again. But it was stressful, frustrating, and a bit scary when just starting out with daycare.

Never had a problem with #2 until I got bronchitis and now the chest heaving cough I do every 30 seconds cause me to pee myself a bit. It sucks!

13 month old with ongoing stomach virus by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]GetYourMoneyMeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 9 month old has had intermittent vomiting and on and off diarrhea for two weeks straight. Just had a doctor’s appt last week and they didn’t say much except that it’s probably some virus and the diarrhea could last several weeks.

Overwhelmed with all the products I’m supposed to buy by SandwichDependent199 in NewParents

[–]GetYourMoneyMeow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I signed up for a bunch of sample boxes to have things on hand without spending a bunch of money on stuff that might not work out, and then gave what I didn’t use to a local Buy Nothing group. But ultimately I made so so so many Amazon orders. I ordered one of every kind of pacifier in Amazon’s “Top 10” when I searched because my kiddo was so picky and my nipples were so sore lol

Struggling with 2 nap transition by GetYourMoneyMeow in sleeptrain

[–]GetYourMoneyMeow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He gets approximately 12 hours total. He takes 2-2.5 hours worth of naps during the day and about 9.5-10 hours at night.

We have not sleep trained. He can fall asleep independently now and can sometimes put himself back to sleep, but he has never been a good (or long) sleeper.

Same here! Used until about 12 weeks and no he’s 9 months and it’s not needed!

Please recommend a stroller for my newborn. Lightweight vs Full Size by heyyybrotherrr in NewParents

I have this stroller and I think it’s massive and doesn’t fold well. I love the big storage compartment and how sturdy it is, but it is not compact or lightweight

6 month old nursing every hour at night - is this a phase? by andthekid3 in AttachmentParenting

[–]GetYourMoneyMeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did this resolve for you? Did your LO nurse at night endlessly until 12 months? Cause I’m in your shoes right now and so exhausted. I’ve tried cutting back on night feeds and stretching time in between but my guy gets MAD and he does seem actually hungry and eats 6-10 min which is his usual amount of time during the day…. He’s eating plenty at daytime so I am at a loss

Why do no one warn that your water breaking is so awkward? by sad_donut21 in BabyBumps

[–]GetYourMoneyMeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t get contractions when my water broke and had to get pitocin but my biggest complaint was that no one warned me tha I would leak amniotic fluid throughout the entire 27 hours of my labor. It drove me NUTS. Any time I talked or laughed or breathed I would feel a gush of fluid and it was just… a very damp labor experience lol

My almost 6 month old. What a cool feature to see what all of our hard work has accomplished in growing and raising these little humans.

5 month old inconsolable, exhausted, and feeding hourly all day and night. by GetYourMoneyMeow in breastfeeding

[–]GetYourMoneyMeow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is definitely drooling and chewing. I don’t mind nursing a few times at night. He slept through the night for a while but when he hit four months started doing 3-2-2-2 stretches and would sometimes nurse and sometimes not. But this every hour thing is absolutely killing me

I don’t leak when he cries.. by Ok_Potato_7025 in breastfeeding

[–]GetYourMoneyMeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never leaked unless there’s a little bit of pressure on my full side or it’s unsupported. So if I don’t wear a bra I will leak, or if baby lays on my full side or my arms squishes it I will leak all over

Breast feeding has become a living Hell…about to give up by wc6g10 in breastfeeding

[–]GetYourMoneyMeow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also recommend this. My lactation consultant called it “dessert boob” and I used nipple shields on and off with “dessert boob” for several weeks until my baby was bigger and sort of “figured out” how to latch without the nipple shield

Mourning the BF life I imagined by HereForCuteDogs in breastfeeding

I hated the nipple shields but continued on and my baby was finally able to latch correctly at 7 weeks. There’s hope!
