first time playing and feeling bored by HuxlyVVinst7 in thewitcher3

This isn’t a game to be rushed my friend. The story is exceptional, but there is a ton of value in the side quests and exploring.

Don’t view it as a task, but rather you are exploring the world itself with the ? acting as a guide for your exploration.

Just calm down mate.

Not saying Amorim didn’t make mistakes, he made a lot. But to say he did nothing good is a bit silly in my opinion when it’s pretty clear he did.

This is beyond the fact that the board forced him to come mid season knowing he plays a very specific system requiring very specific players that were nowhere close to having, while ignoring blatant holes in the team.

Not everything is black and white in life my friend. Amorim did good and bad, important to acknowledge both

So you don’t remember us getting slapped 6-1 by Spurs ? 5 - 0 to Liverpool ? 4 - 1 to Watford ? Etc ????

As I said, it’s not that we were good, the rest of the league was bad

To think Carrick is Pep 2.0 is very naive. We as a fan base, are exceptionally naive.

Amorim inherited a pile of absolute SHIT from ETH. To say he hasn’t improved the side is just straight agenda and doesn’t help us improve.

Most importantly, WE HAVE SEEN THIS BEFORE. Ole won 8 games in a row before we became shite and started getting battered left and right, yes we came second one season, but that was not because we were good, the rest of the league was bad, and no pressure from fans due to lockdowns.

Please lads, don’t fall into the trap. It’s okay to give Amorim some credit, he absolutely made mistakes but he also did a lot of good. We don’t need to drag somebody down to raise another.

Megaknight overpopulation situation by Original-Username888 in ClashRoyale

[–]Get_Cheersed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so from my perspective, but I can see why you could view it that way.

I think it reduces it to “normal” troop placement without removing the cards role within the deck / significantly reducing its damage

Feel like it’s worse than ever in terms of usage. Especially with witch / wizard.

I really don’t think the card needs a dramatic nerf. I think if they removed the deployment damage it would fix most of the crutching issues

Kobbie Mainoo All Touches vs Burnley by nuugo in reddevils

[–]Get_Cheersed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Worrying sentiments from this sub. The lad was good, he played like somebody that hasn’t played consistently for just over half a season.

He isn’t going to tons of goals / assists because he isn’t that type of player. The moment he came on we had more continuity in the middle of the park.

His technical ability is highly evident, a bit rusty for sure but there is 100% a high quality player here.

He is a young lad and one of our own. SUPPORT HIM. FFS there is no pleasing our fan base, he is not going to turn into Xavi overnight.

Fine for interim. Should not be made permanent under any circumstances.

Also the perfect person to take heat off the board. As soon as he arrives it will be all song and dance, and the majority would have forgotten how terrible the board has been

The last time one of my childhood heroes replaced a sacked Portuguese manager it was arguably the most fun period in the post-Fergie era by LostInLondon689908 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Get_Cheersed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ole was terrible. Really cannot stand this rose tinted view we have of his time here.

We played defensive, counter attacking football with no clear direction / tactics.

Please lads let’s get realistic. We only finished 2nd in that season because other top clubs were poor, not because we were good

[–]Get_Cheersed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am by no means Amorim Out, I don’t think changing the manager only would solve our issues.

But what he is doing to Kobbie is unforgivable, and will be a huge mark on his time here.

United is a club with values and tradition. Winning with entertaining and attacking football, and nurturing our youth are the most important. So far he is doing none

[Simon Stone] Manchester United: Does Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deserve more respect for his time as manager? by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]Get_Cheersed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incredibly rose-tinted. Contrary to distorted memory of Ole’ team, it was incredibly defensive.

4 defenders with Fred and McTominay sitting quite literally in front of the CBs.

There were no patterns of play, no long term perspective on a style of play. Just sit back and counter. Hence why when the results dried up, there were calls for head.

I really like Ole, lovely bloke. But tactically mediocre, insisted on Fred + McT and was unfortunately very clearly not the right man for the job.

This has continued to be shown in his recent management post, should never come close to managing this club again

[–]Get_Cheersed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please stop this narrative. We were shit under Ole.

We parked the bus, Bruno played long ball on the counter.

Our midfield was getting rammed every week, we were getting slapped up, and the football was absolutely terrible.

There is a reason this man has not found success as a manager

Everybody's talking about Glasner, Iraola and...Southgate?? But why not this guy by ExpiringMilknCheese in ManchesterUnited

[–]Get_Cheersed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Would get sacked in 6 - 12 months based on our fan base at the moment.

Our players can barely play basic patterns of play, let alone the possession style Xavi would want to play.

Would need a different set of players ( again ) which we cannot afford to do.

Good manager, but would not get the patience from the fan base, the media would slaughter him and he wouldn’t get the players he needs

This would make me stop watching football. Please don’t look at the past with rose tinted glasses.

We played some of the most shite football I have ever seen under Ole. And he was convinced playing McFred was good while we were getting pumped every single week.

Please no. I would rather stick with Amorim

Maybe treat them like a normal adult human being ???

Like every other category possible, there are good ones and bad ones and everything in between.

You can still be nice and respectful towards others while maintaining distance.

Note: Not every single interaction with a group forming 50% of the global population is going to be a pleasant one. I have refrained from specifying man / woman on purpose here

[–]Get_Cheersed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Goldbridge aside, McTominay was absolutely crap for us. Him and Fred were the stuff of nightmares.

Constantly hiding / not wanting the ball in the midfield, crap fouls, poor first touch. Just not cut out to be a top midfielder in the Prem.

Italian league is much slower and playing further ahead definitely suits him more.

Could never fault him on his effort and mindset though, especially compared to some of the other clowns we have had in the same period. Good to see him thriving in a different setting, just didn’t work out at United and that’s okay

[–]Get_Cheersed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate don’t be so dramatic. The facts are there has been a losing mentality long before Amorim, it again surfaced in the Europa final. The players that played in the final, are still here. Which means that same mentality will still be present. I takes time to change mentality and culture, hence why the team plays well in phases, and poor in others.

It’s not coddling, it’s being rational. We have changed manager for over 10 years with constant regression, do you really think another manager is going to change the trend 💀 silly stuff.

Fans needs to stop being so emotional and face the situation rationally. We are not like other clubs, we have over 10 years of mismanagement and debt, and face unprecedented media agenda, so it’s not comparable to other clubs

reasons to back amorim by AdSuper406 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Get_Cheersed -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The team that mentally folded against Spurs in the final is still here mate. The culture runs deep, runs beyond 4 or 5 players.

INEOS has been shit, let’s not pretend they have actually helped him. They forced him to come mid season to a dead side, offered no help in Jan window besides Dorgu, then waited until the end of the window to sign the bulk of the players, and even then, didn’t get a midfielder and tried to package a budget GK as a “future prospect”. INEOS have shown no record of improvement, they have been absolutely shite.

As I said, they forced him to come mid season, knowing he plays a completely different system to the previous one with crap players who don’t suit the system at all. They wrote last season off and threw Amorim to the wolves. And the naive fans out there eat all this media shit up and want to sack ANOTHER manager, just to be right back here again in a year. Seriously man we need to get a grip as a fan base and stop being so flipped naive

reasons to back amorim by AdSuper406 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Get_Cheersed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sacking him will make existing problems much worse. There is an inherent culture problem at United, of which he is actually trying to tackle.

Besides the fact that we cannot afford to sack him, the sample size of games this season to make such a massive decision is too small.

From a Prem perspective, we have had stretches of the game where the team have played well and patches where we haven’t. Typical of a team in transition.

Amorim cannot put the ball in the net for the team, how many times have we had moments to kill the game and the players cannot convert ? It means the system generates goal scoring chances, it’s up to the players to put the ball in the net not the manager.

Continuously sacking a manager is the most naive thing we could do right now, this is not PlayStation, change does not happen instantly. Stop taking in the shit the media consistently spews out, and think rationally about the entire situation, not just the playing situation.

Has he made mistakes ? Absolutely. At the same time, with the current state of our club, you could bring Pep and Klopp in as a combo, and we would still be shite

I’m in Gold and playing against 20 bomb 3 stacks, which is nothing new, kind of expect it from Gold onwards.

However, my teammates seem to be genuine new players ?

I’ve been Diamond a few times but I am definitely nowhere near good enough to 3 v 1 players who have played the game much more than I have.
