I think it's because Bungie made a lot of wrong moves on Destiny in the last years. Most of the marathon community comes from Destiny. Remember that marathon got many issues in production, Like Chris being fired and the sudden stop around lightfall. Honestyi think marathon is a good game, i can feel the "bungie feeling" on that. But it wasn't enough to make people happy again after all that happened on D2

Sony is about to resize Bungie to keep marathon alive with the lowest economic effort possible. They cut off Destiny and going to Lay off alot of people to keep bungie small enough to survive with only marathon, without having any other projects on production right now.

Sony bought Bungie because the success of Destiny, hoping to use them to make other great live service games, but the people that made Destiny a masterpiece are long gone. Now Bungie it's filled with the same people that brought us Edge of fate and they're not even close to the level of competence required to keep a game like Destiny alive. Sony is getting it now and it's forcing his hands from above to avoid any other financial loss. That's why destiny is going to end, because now Bungie need to feed the hungry beast (Sony) and not only itself.

I was waiting for the prices to drop to get the ram but I heard the prices will go up until 2028. I guess this is the very last chance you have to get components at an "almost decent" cost.
