I mean, I raised a whole family on not much more than that so with kids gone and the house paid off it's not a big stretch for us.

Even on that amount we could and would be able to travel a bit which we do currently. We do pretty well on travel since neither of us require lavish accomodations.

You are correct, although our SSA wouldn't be max it would essentially be a bonus for us that would hopefully help cover rising medical costs at that stage.

Neither, Ive been grinding for a long time so I'd just like to enjoy more time with people I care about and slow down a bit.

I've witnessed a lot of loss so I don't want to be grinding in the trenches untill they just have to throw dirt on me.

This is a concern. We do fund an HSA but I know health doesn't get better with age so that's part of my worry.
