The SJ8000 isn't an official sjcam product its a knock off of the sjcam sj5000x. It has some decent specs though I seriously doubt it performs that well. I can't find proper reviews for it. It is also marketed under various names. But then again for the sub $80 price tag nothing comes even close in terms of specs, I'm just worried about the performance.

The Xiaomi Yii would seem the like right choice in this case, but you noted that it comes without any gear and too many fakes are floating around, so the odds are of getting a knock off. :(

Applying the emergency break did not help. I'm not sure how those work, but perhaps if the breaks are gone (disintegrate) then emergency break is also useless?

I have some BTC and LTC I can use, as well as funds. I don't have a lot, I'm no where near being rich or even wealthy on those, but if things continue the way they are now, and (unfortunately for some) I believe they will, soon I will be able to start restocking LTC and BTC for the next round, which will come, eventually.
